She was running . Faster than the wind , her feet barely touched the ground hair trailing behind her , like a cape . The girl would have loved this feeling normally but right now she was running for her life . She looked behind her , that brilliant hair whipping into my face . I couldn't see him but that did not mean he was not there . I ducked between branches and dodged rocks . My only hope : the tree .
Her feet were starting to hurt now stuffed inside those rubber shoes .
Arabell still couldn't find it and feared she had gotten lost . She could feel her body slowing down, her shoulders aching , and legs burning . Arabell saw something strange in the distance , different from the green of the trees . A surge of hope ripped through her , lifting her chin and pushing her forward . As she got closer she saw that it was standing free , and clearly not part of the camp . It looked familiar though , like something in a dream . The box looked sturdy enough and Arabell sprinted towards it . She held her hands up running into it . The doors moving easily , silently, inward .
Arabells eyes darted around , not tacking anything in , only searching for a path . She ran through white hallways and past doors . Sprinting through the twisting corridors eventualy started to feel tired and slowed to a jog , looking for a safe place to hide . A door seemed to appear out of nowhere . I must be tired or going crazy, she thought .
The door swung open as she leaned inside . The room was brightly lit and had a lock on the door , bronze , somehow Arabell knew it would keep me safe . She walked swiftly inside , locking the door behind her .
Arabell leaned back on the door , palms flat against the wood . Arabell slowed her breathing , , focusing on the constant rhythm . Bow , quiver and bag, fell to the ground . Her eyes finally focused on something other than hazards .
The room was large and filled with books .The tall shelves extending to the endless ceiling . Wooden desks littered the end of these rows . Lamps giving the harshly lit room a softer feel . The smell of books fill the air of the silent room . It gave a academic atmosphere . Annabeth would love it here .
Arabell hadn't known them long , just a few days ,I shouldn't be missing the little guys at all , she thought . Theia , Liam and Annabeth , they would all be so important someday . Arabell would have to leave soon , it wouldn't take long for him to find her . Still she couldn't help her curiosity .
Arabell found a nook to put her bag in , keeping only her bow and quiver. She began to explore the vast room .
Arabell had found so many exciting books , interestingly , she noted , she could actually read them . Arabell guessed they were in Ancient Greek . She had also found a room that must have been for children as it had loads of comfy pillows , bean bags and chairs . The walls were bright even though they were faded . Arabell decided to read and rest there .
A/N : Try to keep this short . This is my first fanfiction , origionaly I wrote this in first person , so sorry for any mistakes . Comment any suggestions or just general comments , I spose . There are going to be a few chapters just for you to really get a feel for Arabell , before she meets You-know-who .
