I suppose I'll begin on a rather serious note, one that has bugged me for ages. Peace versus War- which is worse?

Obviously both war and peace could not exist as ideas in our heads until war happens. The fact is that if it weren't for war, humans would not want to aspire towards peace and prosperity. But the fact also remains that perfect peace is the abscence of any chance things will go wrong or change. And as we know, even the void of space is ruled by the fact that things happen, and by extension, we humans are the embodiment of that rule. But what truly irritates me, is when humans proclaim love and understanding will end violence and war. Newsflash people, humans can never, ever be fully united in peace. No matter how many times you hug a person, day after day, you cannot know when they'll stab you in the back. True peace would require the population of earth to speak the same language, have the same ideals, and destroy individuality. But most of all it would require absolute trust and certainty that the stranger next to you won't turn on you. Thats why terrorism has come about, those who provide peace, who claim no wrong can be done, are therefore saying that we as a society have achieved total perfection. Even saying we have achieved anything close to true peace is total arrogance. Peace among humans will result only under the bloody hand of a self proclaimed god, or prophet of a god, a complete tyrant. We have all seen, in movies and real life, how horrible the conditions were. So do I vote for peace? Hell no, I vote for change and betterment, and if that requires a war, so be it.

War, is the more honest option. Yes it's brutal and bloody, but you know that going in. Noone is going to lie to you about war. The enemy is the enemy, and your allies your allies. War promotes growth and change, it demands good instincts and good training as well as quick adaptations for every situation. It brings people under a cause and unites them in the belief of a better situation at the end. War does not stagnate, but sends waves across the world. And the best part about war is how it doesn't leave you in doubt about the outcome, you either win, lose, or stalemate.
