~Chapter 24~

Aphmau's POV

I woke up groggily. I felt a head resting on my shoulder, and I my head was sore from leaning back. I straightened my head, cracking it. I saw Jin's messy black hair on my shoulder. I yawned, trying not to wake him up. I felt him moving his head. I felt him mumble in his sleep, and puts his head back. I thank him in my mind, and I quietly stand up. I slowly unzip the tent, and I walk out being careful not to wake him up. Once I got out of the dirty tent, I stretched. I rubbed my eyes, and I heard a grumble. I sighed, noticing my hunger. I made my way to the campfire. It wasn't lit right now since it's the morning. I grabbed a knife that was next to the campfire. We usually used this knife for cutting things. I examined it, and put it away in my pocket of my shorts. I looked at the tent we usually all sleep in. I walk towards it, and I unzip the green tent. I pop my head in, and I see Ross sitting down, and Sky laying down staring at the ceiling. Ross look at me, questioning me with his eyes. I cough, getting rid of my morning voice.

"I-I'm going hunting."

Ross nods at me. Sky turns his head to me tiredly.

"Be careful Jess. Oh, and can you refill our water? Thanks." Sky says to me. I nod and I leave the tent. I turn around, facing away from the tent. I went to Jin's tent, slowly unzipping it just in case Jin is still asleep. I go in being as quiet as possible. I see Jin laying down in a freefalling position. I give him a small smile. I go to the back of the tent, grabbing our canteens. I also grab a couple bags to put the meat in. I walk out. I get out of our camping spot, and I run into the forest. I stop, and I take a swig of water. I stand there and examine my surroundings. I spot a deer standing a mist in the trees. I slowly walk towards it, concealed in the trees. I slowly aim my knife. I pull my arm back, and I throw the knife at the deer's neck. It fell onto the ground, and I smirk at my success. I sprint to the corpse of the deer. After I scavenge the deer, I walk to a creek nearby. I spread all of the canteens on the ground. I start to fill up all of the canteens. I take another swig of my canteen. I fill it back up, and I stand up, stretching.

Jin's POV

I woke up confused. My body was in a freefall position, and my body was aching. I sat up, rubbing my eyes. I cracked my neck, trying to remember last night. I sigh, and I stand up. I unzip the tent, and poke my head out. I see Sky sitting by the campfire, trying to light it. He turns around, and looks at me with tired eyes. I look at him, tearing up, and I walk out of the tent. I shake my head. I can't cry anymore. I have to stay strong for everyone. Sky finally gets the fire going, and I take a seat on one of the logs. I glide my hand across the wood, and I glance at the fire. Sky sits across of me. He stares into the fire, the fire reflecting in his eyes. We sat in silence.
