"Are you sure it does not look too trashy?" I ask Maddy as I study  myself in the full-length mirror.  I'm wearing a tight black dress. It's short, and somehow makes me grow some boobs that I didn't think I had before.  The material is soft and brings out my tan skin perfectly.  My hair was straightened, and half clipped back.

"You look hot!" Maddy exclaims, but as soon as I turn around and look at her in her dress, the little bit of confidence that I have is gone.

"Maddy, Calum is going to go crazy for you instead. Why are you so damn attractive?" I ask, watching her cross the room in a green dress. It's short, and flows out a little toward the bottom, making her legs look good as well. Her eyes are greener than I've ever seen them with the help of the dress.

"Calm down, you know Calum is yours. I want Ashton, but since he knows I'm a fan, I'll just go for Michael." I watch her as she speaks, while she does my makeup for me. I admire the how easily she does it with such ease. It's like she has been doing eyeliner and eyeshadow since she was born. I never wear lipstick because I can never get it to look right, but I am amazed when I look at my reflection in the mirror. Miracles are possible.

"Is it time?" I ask, the nervousness lacing my voice.

Maddy grabs her phone from the bathroom counter and scrolls and clicks a couple things. "Okay so the update account says Michael and Calum just left the recording studio, so we should go down as soon as possible, because you don't know how late the account actually got this info. Let's just hope they make a stop at the bar on their way up."

I take a deep breath as I grab my purse that has my credit card and my fake ID, and we leave our room and start heading towards the elevator. The whole ride down, not one word is said, our anxiousness filling up the whole elevator instead.

We find two open seats at the bar and realize we don't even know how to order alcoholic drinks. "Two long island iced teas, please!" Maddy tells the bartender, and I mentally take back my comment. I don't know any drinks.

"What's a long island iced tea?" I ask. Alcohol mixed with tea did not sound good at all.

"I'm not sure, I just heard the people next to me order one, so I made a last minute decision." Maddy laughs and looks at her phone, replying to a text.

Our drinks arrive, and I take a sip of it, and flinch at how strong is. There is no tea in this drink at all. But I keep drinking it anyways, and decide to look up whats in it, while we wait.

"Who are you talking to?" I ask, even though I already know the answer. Her and Ashton's texts have not stopped since they started. She is so lost in her texting, I think she doesn't hear my question at first.

"Ashton," she says quietly, obviously not wanting anyone else to hear. "They have been writing and recording for most of the day, but they haven't really gotten anything done. It's probably my fault," Maddy blushes, probably feeling guilty.

"At least we will have some good new music to listen to," I remind her, since all they have out right now is an EP or two. "Maybe he's writing a song about you," I joke to Maddy, and she wacks me with her purse.

"Don't even joke about that, holy crap," her eyes widen, just thinking about if that were to happen. "That boy wouldn't even know what to do with himself after I send him to heaven, if you know what I mean," Maddy winks at me. I laugh at her, but her face goes blank and serious immediately. I take the last chug from my drink, and follow her eyes.

"Haley, " she breathes, but I had already seen as well. The boys had entered the lobby, and I see a group of girls starting to follow, until security stops them, thank God. I watch Michael walk towards us at the bar, but it seems Calum is going straight to the elevator. Shit. I immediately grab Maddy's drink that she hasn't touched, and casually fast walk towards the elevator that he is getting in. He sees me coming toward the elevator, and my camouflage must work because he holds the door open for me. If I was a fan, I feel like he would have let it close.

"Thanks," I mutter as I go to press the button for our floor, but the number is already lit. I look over to Calum, and I freeze. He is so much taller and so hotter than I would have ever expected. He's wearing black skinny jeans and his black Santa Cruz tank top. And we are staying on the same floor.

I suddenly feel his gaze on me, traveling up by body, and I want to throw up. So naturally I just drink more of the drink, to hopefully calm me down. I still feel his eyes on me, and so I start studying the inside of the elevator. Half way up the walls, it turned to mirrors so it just brought my attention back to him looking at me through the mirror.

"You know what I hate?" Calum blurts, making me jump a little; I wasn't expecting him to talk.

"People who drink in elevators?" I say the first thing that comes to mind, as I take yet another long pull of the drink.

"No," he almost smiles, "I hate it when people think I'm Asian."

I get out a single laugh, but regain my composure; I'm not supposed to know anything about him. I know he's not Asian. "You're not Asian?" I try to ask seriously.

He basically rolls his eyes at me. "No. I'm Scottish and Kiwi."

"You don't look like a fruit," I cock my head to the side, laughing at myself. It must be the drink. "I don't like being called Asian either." I add.

"Are you Asian?" he asks seriously.

"Well, yeah, obviously. But I'm American, ya know?" I say as the elevator door opens. I return to panicking.

We both walk out of the elevator, and both stop and face each other. "I'm Calum," he puts his hand out for me to shake.

I have to stop myself from saying I know, and instead take his extremely large but smooth hand in mine. "I'm Haley."

"It's nice to meet you, Haley." Our hands stay connected for just a little too long; I'm not complaining though.

"I was gonna go back down to the bar in a little-" I start, but he interrupts me.

"I'll see ya there."

. . . . . . . . . . . . . .

I'm laughing so hard because a long island iced tea is like 5 different kinds of alcohol topped with a little coke so haley should be done fucked up rn

so i'm finally doing this i think
