//I was listening to the song above and got inspiration for this. I suggest listening to the song while reading to get into the mood of the imagine. Enjoy!//
Also, Jefferson's love interest in this is KimDash11 , it's dedicated to her.
"C'mon love, I'll only be gone a little while. I'll come straight home." Jefferson tried to reason with you. "This is the queen we're talking about. For all you know, she could be lying to you. We don't need a bunch of riches, Jefferson. Grace doesn't need fancy toys, or a huge room or whatever. She needs her father, to be here. Not off doing some crazy mission for the queen." Jefferson sighed. "Rea, my love, please. I have to do this.." His hands caressed your arms, and you melted under his gentle touch. You sighed exasperatedly, reluctantly giving in. Realizing he'd won, Jefferson kissed your forehead. "Thank you.." He smiled. You gave him a faint smile, masking your anxiety about the whole thing. "Just promise you'll come home..." He nodded, taking your hands in his. "I promise."
That was many, many years ago.
You were at Granny's, where you currently worked in the town of Storybrooke, Maine. Exciting things didn't happen often in the small town, but you were content. You worked with your best friend, Ruby, who's grandmother owned the diner. "Hey Ruby, can you close up? I'm way over my shift, and I need to head home. My Paige is waiting for me." You said. Once Ruby gave you the signal that you were free to go, you grabbed your purse from behind the counter and walked out into the street. Reaching your home, you saw the man in the house across the street, staring at something through a telescope. Frowning, you opened your door and decided to let it go. 'Probably looking at the stars.' You thought to yourself. "Momma.." Paige rubbed her sleepy eyes as she walked towards you. "Paige, it's late. Let's get you to bed, you have school tomorrow." Picking up your daughter, you carried her upstairs into her bedroom. Once you'd tucked her in, you kissed her forehead and turned out the light, closing the door. You quickly retired to your own bedroom, sighing contentedly as your body hit the soft, warm mattress. Soon enough, sleep took over.
~*~*~
It had been two weeks since Emma Swan, the alleged savior broke the curse that Regina had cast upon the enchanted forest. Life for you and Grace had carried on pretty much the same, except you both weren't living a lie anymore. You hadn't been able to find your beloved husband, Jefferson, and Emma, being the sheriff, promised she'd investigate his sudden disappearance. You had begun to worry he wasn't in Storybrooke at all. "When are you coming home?" You whispered, looking up at the sky.
You walked up to your house, and as you were about to open the door, you heard a voice. "Rea..?" Your eyes instantly swelled with tears. You knew that voice. You loved that voice. Turning around, you saw the man you fell in love with, standing at the bottom of the staircase that led to the door, looking up at you, his eyes clouded with happiness, and fear.
"Jefferson.." You said quietly, still in slight shock. You dropped your purse on the porch, and ran down the stairs, jumping into his arms. Kissing him with all the love and passion you felt in that moment, you mumbled, "You found me... I knew you'd come home..."
//Awwwww! That was cute. Kinda short, but I got a bit teary eyed writing it. Please comment to tell me what you think, and leave requests! I value you guy's opinions more than you think!//
