Chapter 2; I Loved and Left You

Erik's pov

I was waking up with a smile on my face. But that face quickly turned into confusion. I was in bed and next to me was Christine! Sleeping beside for the angel she is. Oh god...no what have I done!

I did'nt want to wake her up. I got out of the bed and quickly changed. I need to start over, but as mutch as I hate to say it. I have to do it without her.

She can't be happy with me. What she needs is a loving husband, happiness, safety and...children. Something I cannot give her but I dearly hoped I could. I'm a powerful man but I don't have that power.

I put on my mask and looked at myself in the mirror. I was desqusted with myself. I have money, I just can't protect her.

I put my hat and cape on and wrote a small note with a red rose beside the bed. I looked at her, fighting to keep my cry inside.

I kissed her soft lips and what melted my heart was that she kissed me back. I have to let her go. It's the right thing to do, we have come to far.

I need to begin again...

"Goodbye my angel of music, I love you". I wispered.

I looked back at her one last time before I slipped into the dark beneath a moonless sky.

Christine's pov

I was waking up by a strange pain in my back. I smiled to myself, I turned my head expecting Erik to sleep beside me but he was'nt there.

Instead there was a note and a rose on the pillow. "No!" I screamed. I opened the letter to see what he was saying.

"Dear Christine I had no choice but to let you go. I can't protect you. We have to end here and now. But I will never forget the memories we've shared. I will love you until I die. And when that's over I'll love you forever. Goodbye my angel of music and please don't stop singing just because I'm not here. Keep singing for me. The music of the night is over. I love you goodbye O.G/ Erik ".

I can't believe it! He left me! Even after last night. Now there was nothing I could do. I need to get back to Raoul.

I got dressed and left the lair again but this time I would not come back. Ever.

How could he do this to me, I loved him so!

Goodbye my angel you're gone and I shall never see you again.
