The Piano and the Violin sing as one

We've been at hogwarts a week now and the triwizard tournement is just around the corner. They had seet out the cup and the champion naming is friday night. I've been feeling a bit low lately, not that i'd let the other see it. It's because i've gained a bit of weight. I haven't been training as much, neither has the rest of the team. At this naruto is constantly complaining. Oh well no use crying over spilt milk. 

Today, monday, our first lesson is magical music. This is our first lesson in the subject and I really can't wait. Hermione said that its not really anything about magic, just music. She hates it because she cant play an instrument or sing, so she dropped it many terms ago. Sakura was the only one of us that didn't do music. Why? Because , in my opinion, she talentless. Dont get me wrong shes a nice enough girl but shes mean to me so I refuse to be friends with her.

We were let into Filius Flitwicks classroom and I gasped at the beauity of the instruments, the complete musical compostions and the grand piano and violin that stood side my side at the very back of the room. 

"Now class take a seat where you please." Flitwicks said. Sasuke, Naruto, Shikamaru, Gaara and myself took a seat at the very back of the classroom. 

"I'm not going to talk to much because this is simple. Today i want you all to make a performance to day, musicaly. You can use any instruments of your own or that are in the room. At the front i have many pieces from may artists and composters. You can even compose your own piece however you only have today to complete this and in the last 30 minuets of this double lesson, perform it. If you need anyhelp feel free to ask." Flitwick nodded and woddled his short legs over to his desk. He had a pure white and baby blue aura around him. I could tell that he and I will get alng greatly and that he will be a great friends of mine. 

"OH YEAH This is gonna be a piece of cake. Me, Sasuke and Shika can be a group and Gaara you can go with Hikari!!" Naruto yelled jumping up from his seat and rushing into the pracise rooms like everyone else. 

"Well i guess we'll get a chance to play together finally." I stated. Gaara smiled small at me and nodded. 

"I've been looking forward to hearing you play Hikari." Gaara looked into the depths of my eyes as he often did now. Ever since i had obtained my rinnegan i found Gaara would stare into them constantly. Not that im complaining or anything but it did make be blush. 

"ah- umm yeah. Shall we?" I motioned toward the piano and violin that everyone had abandoned. Everyone in the class except for Flitwick had dived into the practice rooms hoping to mess about all lesson. Gaara took his place on the piano seat and brushed his hands over it gently. It barely made a sound at all but i couldn't miss in glint in his eye that made him look at piece. 

"What would you like to play?" He asked softly. Gaara made small short glances to me then the piano. It was a rolling motion. Like a comparison. 

"I really don't mind. Play something and i'll see if i know it." Gaara thought for a moment before moving his hands over the keys almost magicaly. His fingers flowed and mixed in with the sound, like a perfect tap. (external link) I took in a breath and started singing. We seemed to merd instantly with eachother. During the last few notes we made complete un interupted eye cantact. 

"Beautiful." Gaara breathed. My eyes widen. Did he mean my voice or me? 

"What?" I asked quickly. Gaara seemed to realice what he had said was blushed the colour of his hair.

"Your voice! I mean, you have a lovely voice." He averted his eyes down towards the keys of the piano not wanting to look at me. Well i had to say something. The silence was getting akward. 

"Thank you. You play the piano beautifuly." I stated also blushing. I smiled sheapishly and moved to sit beside him on the stool. 

"Thanks. Playings been they only thing i could ever do write. Musics the only thing i can't hurt and that couldn't hurt me." I twiddled with the keys slightly. I could play a few songs but not very well. 

"Music and playing the violin was how i got my emotions out after i realised i had to stop feeling sorry for myself. It gave the lift and destraction from-" I had to force myself to stop talking by hitting a key hard. Anyone else would have jumped but Gaara remained relaxed next to me, watching me. I didn't look at him back, i kept my eyes focused on the piano. Its curves and patterns. 

"Destraction from what?" Gaaras voice was hollow. He know i was hiding something. Music made me vunrable. It made me lower my gard and feel safe. It's like the mothers hug i never had as a child. 

"Nothing. Its nothing." I lied signing. 

That was just a short romantic musical chapter. Its only part one so the next shell be unloaded soon. Tell me what you think please
