CHAPTER TWO
I quietly indulged myself in the movie that was playing softly on the back of the seat infront of me trying not to notice that Luke was slowly falling onto my shoulder as he drifted off to sleep.
I had to pinch myself to stop my hand from touching his. How could someone look so good while they where asleep?
'Attention all Passengers, Please fasten your seatbelts'
Lukes eyes opened suddenly and he quickly moved his head away from my shoulder.
"Sorry" he laughed as he wiped a bit of dribble from his chin.
"That's okay" I said though my focus was not on Luke anymore. Since I was young, I had always had a phobia of flying. I couldn't help myself from watching t.v shows on plane crashes and different scenarios at the aeroport as the thought of flying also facinated me.
"Hey, are you alright?" Luke yawned, pushing his seatbelt buckles together.
"Um, yeah yeah" I mumbled as I tried and focus my attention on the clouds outside our window.
"Hey," I could feel Lukes hand mold over mine. "It's alright, everything will be okay" I turned my head to face him. He was looking at me, his chocolate brown eyes not leaving mine for a second.
"Thank-you" I whispered. He smiled back at me and squeezed my hand in a friendly way.
The plane suddenly started to jerk and my nails dug into the poor boys hand. I felt my breathing begin to speed up and all I wanted todo was cry.
"Shh," Luke said, his hand moving away from my hand and slowly stroking my hair. His touch calmed me. The way his skin touched mine was something I had never experienced before. The plane started to calm down and slowely it resumed it's normal path.
As my breathing came back to normal, Lukes hand moved away from my head.
"Don't" I urged. "Please don't leave me".
"hey," he said once more. "I'm not going anywhere".
For the last five hours of our long flight, I did something with Luke I had never done with anyone else. I told him how I felt. We talked about our childhood and I told him about my mom, my sister and my dad who I hadn't seen since I was seven. Luke told me he had a twin named Jai, and a brother named Beau who I had met before. He told me they made youtube videos and called themselves the Janoskians.
Luke told me he was 18 and I told him I was 17. We talked for what seemed like only a few minutes when the airhostess's voice rang above our heads.
'We are now landing in LAX'
"Shit," Luke smiled "That went fast"
"I know" I sighed. I didn't want to say goodbye. It felt like I had known him forever.
"We should meet up again," Luke suggested "I mean, we both live here now. But only if you want to..."
"I would love to" I said smiling happily at Luke. We exchanged numbers and took silly photos for our contact details before it was time to get off the plane.
As we walked out of Terminal3 at LAX we turned to eachother. Luke smiled and then pulled my waist towards him and wrapped his arms around my torso. We embraced for a long time while his brothers and friends came off the plane.
"Common Luke," Beau shouted "Ronnie is waiting for us out the front!"
"I've gotta go," Luke whispered "But i'll see you again soon right?"
"Luke!" Beau shouted. I nodded my head as Luke ran to his brothers not taking his eyes away from me.
"Good luck Tilly" he shouted back to me and at that moment, I knew I belonged in LA.
