"Dun dun daaaa"

<•••••••••••••••••{<~>}•••••••••••••••••>

So, around this time, drama club had just started. Everyone was really excited and stuff so yah. Our drama teachers were trying to find a play for us to do, and one of them had read some of my stories I had written, and suggested that I wright the play. Now I was flabbergasted and super-super-excited for this honor. Now, the next day at school, Four decides to tell me that HE'S currently writing a play as well. And I'm like "ok. IDEA TIME!! Let's make this a contest" so I told him this:

Me: Ok. I'll give you to the end of the week to finish your story and turn it in to me. If I think it's better than mine, I'll tell the drama teachers that I think we should do your play instead of mine.
Four: *looks at me considering this idea*
Me: *is trying to hold a straight face and not break eye contact to show that I'm not joking but its hard because looking at him makes me smile*
Four: Deal. *walks away without letting me get the last word*

*Thursday as we are leaving school*

Me: did you finish yet?
Four: uh. Oh.. Umm. No. I have to finish it tonight.
Me: you better have it done in time or else it won't count.

*the next day at school (Friday)*
I am calmly sitting at my desk when a pile of papers are plopped down on my desk. I look up to see Four standing there. He walks away without a word. I pick up the script intrigued but not sure what to expect. But as I read it, I laughed my head off. I couldn't stop!! He had taken things that had happened and put them in the story! Like how we weren't the best of friends, but he respected me. I told him I loved it and duly admitted that he had beat me at my own game.

*at drama club that evening*
Our teachers FINALY arrive and I try to approach them to fulfill my half of the deal. But they keep becoming distracted by other things and people talking to them. When over their shoulders, I see Four approach. He seems to silently say to me "remember our deal". He has a smirk on his face thinking that I'm going to back out because he knows how much my stories mean to me. I mean like, seriously, their my pride and glory. If they get a bad rep, I get a bad rep as well. Finally, I get enough of it and say to the teachers "Listen. Four wrote a story as well and I think it's better. I think we should do his play instead of mine." The look of shock on his face was priceless!! He couldn't believe that I had just done that to myself!! When the teachers get over the shock, they agree to read it and head upstairs. I hang back to talk to four. When I catch up with him I say this before he could even open his mouth. "Listen. I keep my promises. No matter how much it kills me to do so. I keep my promises" then walk away like a sass queen. Because I just roasted that boi.
