Chapter 6

After that long talk with father last night  I felt a lot better at least I know what is wrong with him and why was he smoking and drinking  .  Even though he shouldn't have gone behind our backs and burrow so much money but even though he should have come to us and tell us what was the problem .

Coming to work with only  one main focus and that is to get bills off the family . And always  Garry is always there to help with encourage me even if he is annoying .   So far working is OK , though am battling with some count downs .

A soft  knock was at the door , whoever that was at the door I told them to come in ... But what caught my eyes to see the financial manager in front of me .

"Have a sit Ms Smith ."

"Thank you ."

"So what being you up here ?"

"  Well Ms Crosswoods instruct me that I  should hand  you your new  payment , well she said I should personally hand it to you ." 

"Okay ."

"Yep."

"Is there anything else Ms Smith?" I ask seeing the lady looking at me .

"No ."

"Ok."

"Guest I should go ." I watch her walk to the door , " oh by the way Henry I like the shirt , it's sexy ."

"Thanks ." she wink at me before exiting the office . I look down on my plaid shirt , wondering why is she all complimentary to me so ... Hmmm whatever let me not try to be the judge of that .

"Hey dude ... Mind hanging out with the guys  tonight ?" Garry said after blasting through the door .

"Hmmmm... That would be a no ."

"Oh come on ... Just a few beers and we have some fun , with some girls ."

"I  said no nigga I get work and you know  it. "

"So what's the difference , dude it's just one night , it's not one hole year .... Come on it's Vince birthday party , you can be serious . "

"Vince what ?"

"Birthday party ... Well not really party party. .. But we go hang out ."

"Hmmmm... Okay I be going on one condition ."

His face lit up to a happy one but it seems like my condition get him off happy   ." and what's that ?"

"That you don't f ed up my mood ."

"Okay , okay fine ." he said and his happy face is on back to a happy one , he show me a thump's up before leaving the . All I do is to shake my head , cause this dude he is too much . I look down in my heads to see that I still get the envelope .

Couple minutes pass and I decided to open , tearing the opening , pulled out a cheque of one hundred dollars . wait ... One hundred what ? Wow  this is a miracle .

Just when I think that my life is a complete  shut down , God have provided me with something good. I could bet , that if I show mom this she would be more than happy to see how much I am being pay .

I guest after all I should go out with the guys after all ...Oh shit the meeting . Even if I was late for work I should not be late for the meeting .

I pick up my folder and make my way out the door to the meeting . Eventually when I reach the only a few persons was in the meeting . I sit at my original post or seat where I sat from day one . But what catch my eyes was to see Jacob  Martin  .
