The warehouse seemed completely deserted from where Lillian was standing outside.

Just a few hours before, Bonnie Bennett had used a locator spell to find Katerina Petrova, using the only connection Lillian could think of: Elena's doppelgänger blood. It had taken the first two hours, as well as a few threats, to get Bonnie's magic working again, and another thirty minutes for the location of Katherine to be revealed, as Elena's impure vampire-doppelgänger blood made it harder to use in the spell.

Now Lillian was outside the old textile factory, the address written on a crumpled piece of paper in the vampire's hand. The plain, gray building rose before her, giving off an abandoned feeling, but Lillian knew there was someone here.

With enhanced speed, Lillian was standing in front of the side door in moments. She easily ripped it off its hinges, throwing it to the side as she stepped into the warehouse.

Lillian felt the decrease in temperature immediately, but it didn't affect her. All around, crates and boxes of thick, colorful thread and cloth were stacked upon each other. Machinery filled the open space. The floor beneath was cold, bare concrete. The only source of light came from the few windows situated at the top of the building. If she were human, Lillian would barely have been able to see.

Slowly and cautiously, alert for the slightest sound, Lillian closed the door behind her. It shut with a satisfying click. The vampire weaved around the crates and machines, trying to find any evidence of occupancy, but there was none. She looked everywhere, but there wasn't a strand of brown hair to suggest Katerina had ever been here. As the sign on the gate just outside the building had said, the factory was deserted. No one had been here for at least a few years.

Lillian growled in frustration, picking up a small plastic container only to throw it against one of the machines. It made hardly a sound as it bounced off onto the floor. "Damn it, Katerina!" Lillian shouted aloud. Her voice echoed off the bins and walls. "Where the hell are you?"

Rage at Katerina, as well as Bonnie for clearly not doing the simple spell right, fell off of her in waves. Damn it! Damn it! Damn it! This thought was repeated multiple times in her head, her anger growing with each silent word.

When she was done, Lillian made her way once again through the warehouse, following the same route through the crates and machinery as before. She opened the door quickly, too blinded by rage to see the note plastered on it until it fluttered to the floor.

The message was written in the Bulgarian language; clearly, Katerina hadn't forgotten her native language, despite pretending to be someone else for the last few centuries. Lillian picked it up, read it, then read it once more.

"November 6, your house. See you then."

Music streamed from the open door and windows, filling the open air with its obnoxious beat. Damon stood on the lawn. Beside him was Niklaus.
