Louis POV
As soon as I get to the privacy of my hotel room in Vegas I call Lauren to let her know I'm here and safe. It's been 14 hours since I last spoke to her and with the time difference it now means it's morning in England even though it's evening here.
"Morning babe" I say cheerily as she picks up and I hear her voice. It sounds noisy wherever she is and the line isn't very clear but she doesn't sound her usual cheery self.
"Where the heck are you? Are you ok?" I worry.
"I'm going to my dress fitting in the city" she says as I remember she had that booked for today.
"Louis I'm freaking out. I've not slept. I can barely do anything for this wedding without you here! There's things on the list we've never even talked about and decisions I can't make without you. I can't even begin to tell you how much we're going to have to do when you get home" she says without even taking a breath."What things?" I ask, pretty sure she's over reacting. Things seemed pretty under control when I left.
"Vows, music for the ceremony, readings, a cake, our first dance song, our wedding rings, your suits, invitations, a photographer, a dj, entertainment.....and by the time you get back we will have 8 days. Eight days louis! it's not enough time! We're never going to pull this off" she says. I can hear the stress in her voice.
"Awww babe relax it's going to be ok" I reassure her, now realising she's suddenly a super stressed bride to be just like the wedding planner warned me she would be.
"I can't relax. I feel like I'm going to let you down. I'm a rubbish bride to be" she says as he voice cracks. My heart cracks with it. I cannot have her upset when I'm on the other side of the world it will kill me.
"No you're not you're amazing. You'll never let me down. Look, this isn't about any of that stuff. It's about us getting married. Those things don't even matter to me. All that matters to me is that you turn up and say yes and become my wife. If you do that I'll be happy. Anything else is a bonus" I reassure her.
"Now go and get your dress and calm down. It will all be ok I promise you. We're going to look at suits while we're here, we can buy them and bring them home with us so that will be sorted. I can book the photographer from here, I've already text a few and had some replies, people are very eager. There's an amazing jewellers on the strip where I can get your ring as long as you don't mind me choosing it for you and you can get mine I'd love you to pick it for me and you can send me pictures of cakes and I can help you decide so you can order one.
We'll Skype over the weekend and decide on music and readings and vows and we'll get someone we know to dj, I know plenty of people in the music industry! Pleae dont think youve got to do this all on you own, I've not abandoned you or our wedding just because I'm here darling, I'll still do my bit, you just sort the girly stuff out and try to relax it will all come together, you'll see" I tell her.I hear the relief in her voice as she starts the next sentence.
"Why are you so amazing and yes please do pick my ring and I'll pick yours but you'll have to get your finger measured and send me your size" she says. I laugh because getting my finger measured just sounds silly.
"Now and go and get your dress sorted. What's your plans after that?" I ask.
"I'm going getting the bridesmaid dresses then seeing the florist" she informs me.
"See - you're smashing it! Stop doubting yourself" I reassure her.
"What are you doing tonight? " She asks in return.
I laugh. "Well, the plan is to go for dinner, then to a casino and then to a bar or two but to be honest I'm so jetlagged I'd quite like to go to bed" I admit.
"Ohhhhhhhhhh man up! It's you bachelor party! Go and have fun" She sasses me.
I laugh again.
"What are you doing for your bachelorette party anyway? You haven't mentioned one? Why so secretive? Please don't tell me you're going seeing strippers or something?" I enquire now teasing her.
"No. I'm not having one. I can't, it's impossible. Not enough people know we're getting married to be able to pull one off. I had a girly night in last night with our mums and your sister and Helen and Lyndsey and that was kind of it" she tells me.
"That's lame! It was basically a family night! You've got to do something better than that" I insist.
"How? When nobody can know I'm getting married how the hell do I organise a party with all my mates?" She asks rhetorically.
I see her point but theres got to be a way around it.
"Well what would you do? What woukd your last night of freedom been if the circumstances were different?" I ask, trying to figure out a way to give her what she'd like.
"I don't know. I'm not really into clubbing. I'd have probably gone for a weekend away with a group of my girlfriends or on a spa day or something" she explains.
"I'm sorry you've not been able to tell people" I apologise. "You can have a weekend away with your mates once we're married and the truth it's out though. I'll give you an I owe you for a girlie weekend away without me" I offer.
"Nah don't worry about it honestly I'm not that bothered and once we're married I don't think there's a chance I'll be leaving you to go away with my mates" she laughs.
"We'll see. You'll probably be glad to get away from me after a week" I joke.
Once we are off the phone I take a quick shower and get myself ready but I can't stop feeling bad. I'm getting ready to hit the clubs in Vegas for my bachelor party whilst lauren doesn't get one? I feel selfish. I decide I'm going to organise something for her as a surprise.
