Just as I was about to reply to Jacob, my mum casually strolled into the room. I must've have only been paying all my attention to Jacobs text as I didn't even hear the door.
"What are you smirking at?" My mum curiously asked.
"Jacob" I retaliated without thinking.
Shit.
She just stood there in utter silence. The kind of silence that makes your tummy wrench as it is that awkward.
"As in next door Jacob?"
"Mhm" I vaguely mutter.
"Well, we've invited him and his family round for dinner tomorrow."
I clandestinely smile and my bones begin to tingle as I become excited.
As my mum exits the room, I begin to text Jacob.
Me: and again, aren't you cute.
Jacob: and again, like u.
Jacob: also, ur gorg.
His lack of grammar skills made me want to cringe. However, his beautiful face made up for that.
Me: I'm really not.
Jacob: u r.
Me: dickhead.
Jacob: wtf lizzy, I was trying to compliment u.
Me: Jacobson, Lizzy? Really though?
Jacobson: Jacobson? Wow
Me: you're now down as Jacobson in my phone.
Jacobson: ur now down as lizzy.
I sigh as I read that text but I can't help but grin. He made me laugh, even if when he did endeavour to annoy me, it just didn't work.
I realised I didn't reply as I received another text from Jacob.
Jacobson: can't wait for dinner at urs 2mor!
It was clear, I was developing a serious crush on Jacob and it wasn't healthy as I hadn't known him for long.So if you're a reader that isn't me (highly doubt it), I would just like to say, I do this for my gratification as reading and writing is one of my hobbies. However, if you're reading this and enjoying the book so far then, woo. Thank you.
