When should I text her? Is it even okay to text her? Does she even want to see me?
Zack's heart was pounding all throughout his body, to the point where he could feel it in his head. His hands were shaking, and it wasn't from the 2 cups of coffee he had this morning, (or maybe it was,) but because he was scared, not of Aeline, but of himself.
How do I ask her if she wants to hangout?
What if she rejects me?
What if I asked wrong?
Eventually, Zack decided to lay low for a while and text her later.
Yeah, he would text her later.
-----------------------------------
Aeline stumbled off her bed to grab her phone, and checked her messages for what seemed to be the 100th time.
"Has he still not messaged you?"
Aeline ignored her sister's comment and threw her phone to the bottom of the bed as she flopped face first into her pillow.
She was in a joyful and romantic mood recently; perhaps it was just one of her manic episodes that caused her to be on her feet waiting for this boy to ask her out.
"I'm tired."
Anastasia looked over to the clock at the front of the room.
"It's only 8:30."
Aeline sighed and rubbed her temples.
"No, I'm tired of waiting for this guy to make a move!" Anastasia simply tossed her sister and her impatience to the side and curled into her blanket, and continued swiping through Snapchat stories.
Meanwhile, Aeline sat up, causing the mattress to bounce, and reached for her phone, yet again.
Aeline: You have my number, why not put it to some good use?
Zack didn't see the message at first, he was too busy working on his homework to glance at his phone. Besides, if his mom saw him on his phone, she would think he's been playing and not studying this whole time.
But when he did see the message, he had no idea how to reply to it at first.
He stared at his phone for a minute, biting his lip and playing with his fingers.
Zack: I like you.
