I wake up from the chair I'm sitting in and look over at Skye. She gets out of the hospital today and I have a fun day planned. We decided to put her on the transplant list. The doctor said since there's not a lot of people who need a new heart right now it shouldn't take more than a couple weeks. I'm just glad it's over with.
"Hey." Skye sits up and it startled me.
"Hey...are you ready to get out of here." She nods and pushes the call nurse button.
The doctor comes in a couple minutes later.
"Are you ready to check out of this place?" He asks smiling.
We follow him to the recption desk and fill out a bunch of papers. We can leave. Finally we can leave.
"I'm driving." She looks at me with a surprise look. I don't usually drive, "uhm okay.."
