"Put this on." Robyn hands me a blindfold.
"What the hell? Where are we going?!"
"Just put it on." She laughs. I put it on. I trust her.
"Where are we going." I say, looking into the blackness of the blindfold.
"It's a surprise."
I sigh. Maybe I have this tiny part pf me that doesn't trust her. I laugh to myself quietly.
"What's so funny?"
"Nothing." I laugh again.
"Well Miss laughy pants we're here. Leave your blindfold on, I'll come get you."
I hear a car door open and a couple seconds later mine opens. I feel a hand, which I assume is Robyn, help me out of the car. She pushed me forward and my hands are out in front of me to make sure I don't trip. She unties the blindfold and I blink to adjust to the light.
"Oh my gosh..you didnt!" My cover my mouth with both hands and tears start forming in my eyes.
In front of me there's a house. In the middle of the city. It has a tiny little yard like they had back home in New York. And the best part...right in the very front...stands a sign.....a sold sign. I can feel the tears running down my cheeks and I turn around and hug Robyn.
"You said you liked it here so I thought why not stay? Go on, check it out." She places a key in my hand.
I walk up to the front door and unlock it. The door makes a creaking noise as I step inside. The first room in front of me seems to be the living room. There's a beige couch against one wall and a flat screen with a game console on the opposite wall. In the middle of them is a small coffee table on top of blue and green rug. The tears are back.
Straight through the living room is the kitchen. There's a stove oven. A microwave on the marble counter tops. Next to that, a toaster. There's a counter island. With bar stools around it. And right by the door to a bedroom there's a shiny silver fridge. I turn around and see Robyn in the door way, smiling.
I keep walking and what I thought was a bedroom is a small hallway. There's two bedrooms. I just peek in each. There's a bed, a desk, and a walk in closet in each room. One is decorated green and blue, which I'm assuming is supposed to be mine, and the other is shades of black, Robyns.
At the end of the hall there's a bathroom. A toilet, two sinks, and a shower tub. How did she afford all this.. I turn back around a hug Robyn again.
"I know it's not much but I needed money for furniture."
"It's perfect" I say through my tears.
She pulls me off of her.
"Go sit down. I'm making shells and cheese for lunch and we're going to have a video game battle."
I nod and hug her again quickly before sitting on the couch. It's so squishy. I set up the console and Robyn comes in with two bowls and two spoons. She sets them on the coffee table.
"Ready to lose?" She smiles at me.
"You wish."~~~
Robyn got up ten minutes ago to go to the "bathroom" I think shes just mad that she lost. What's taking her so long?
She finally comes back and sits down. She looks at me.
"Go look on your bed."
I look at her confused but she practically shoves me toward the bedroom. She sits on the couch while I walk into my room. On my bed there's three outfits.
Outfit one is black ripped skinny jeans and a white shirt with the London tower on it.
Outfit two is a pair of designed blue jean shorts with a t-shirt from my favourite band.
Outfit three is a pair of leggings and a patterned tank top.
There's a note above the outfits and I pick it up.Pick one to wear now.
Put it on and meet me in the
Car.
-Robyn <3There's a little heart next to her signature and I can't help but smile.
I put on the black skinny jean outfit and meet Robyn out at the van. She's standing by the passenger door.
She opens it and bows a bit.
"Ma'am" we both laugh and I pretend to courtesy with my imaginary dress. I get in the car and Robyn shuts the door. Seconds later she gets in the driver side.
"Where are we going now?"
She smiles. "You'll see."
I grunt.
"Hey at least I didn't blindfold you this time."
We both laugh.
"You know you don't have to do this?" I look at her, kind of sad that she spent so much money on me.
"I know. But I do it anyway. Because I love you."
I look at the floor and blush.
"We're here."
I look up and we're pulled in a park in lot of what seems to be an extremely expensive restaurant.
"Robyn we don't have money for this. Come on let's go home."
"Nope." She takes the keys out of the ignition and puts them into her back pocket. "Come on" she gets out and opens my door like she did before.
We both walk inside and Robyn tells the person at the desk we have a reservation. She didn't stutter. She didn't hesitate. She didn't even look nervous. Oh my gosh. I'm so proud.
The waiter shows us to a table and seats us.
"What do you want?" Robyn says not looking up from her menu.
"Uhm.."
"How about we share a lobster?"
She looks up at me.
"Sure."
We talk for a couple minutes as we wait for the waiter to return. When he finally does he takes our order and disappears again.~~~
"You really didn't have to do that."
I look at Robyn and force a smile.
"Oh I'm not done."
My eyes widen. What more is there to do at this point?!? We probably don't even have money left.
"How?" Is all I manage to say.
"You're really impatient you know that?"We pull up to a building that looks grey and depressing, "last stop."
We get out of the car and I walk in behind Robyn. Dogs. They're all dogs oh my god there's dogs everywhere.
Robyn whispers something to the desk man and he leaves the desk and goes out back. Probably smoking. Nasty.
The man returns with a tiny puppy in his arms which he hands to Robyn. Which she then turns around and hands it to me.
"His name is jack."
"Jack.." I start crying again.
After that we go to our new home and all three of us fall asleep tangled together on the couch
