In the loving memory of Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds, they will always be in our hearts. May the force accompany her in her journey through eternity.
It was December the 17th, Lockhart had organised a duelling club. Originally, I was not going, but Grace convinced me to go. I was waiting for Grace to meet me in the stairs, since she had to go down from the Ravenclaw Common Room.
"Grace!" I yelled.
"I'm going!" I heard faintly from upstairs.
About two minutes later, she arrived next to me, her wand in hand. She slipped on the last step and seemed to fall in slow motion. I was too slow, but luckily, there was someone to catch her. It was a boy, about Ron's and Harry's age. He was the chubby boy that almost made Snape's classroom explode.
"Hello" the boy told Grace.
"Hi" she said in a small voice, trying to catch her breath.
"I'm Neville" he said, smiling at my little friend.
"And I'm Grace"
"Grace? I will be heading to the club. See you there" I said smirking. I know when I'm not needed, and not because I can read minds.
I walked in comfortable silence to where the club was. There was a constant hiss around, maybe just in my head, with all the thoughts around. I started to hum Don't Stop Me Now by the Rolling Stones. I just noticed I had arrived when all the thoughts and voices entered my head like a trample. I closed my eyes tightly and waited for the migraine to stop. A guy had gotten near me.
"Are you okay?" He asked me. He was tall and strong, his hair was curly but cut in a military style. I could recognise him as one of the Ravenclaw chasers.
"Yeah, just a migraine" I said, shrugging it off.
He put the back of his hand in my forehead, then on my cheeks, my neck and back on my forehead. He touched his own face and furrowed his brows.
"You're burning hot" he told me. I felt myself blush and I giggled.
"Back off, mate" I heard Felix's voice behind me.
"I didn't mean it like that, mate" the chaser said, "but I won't lie to you, she's a catch and I'm a chaser, and I never stop until I score" the boy said and I raised one eyebrow at him.
"She would not go out with people like you. She's intelligent, you know?" Felix answered, putting an arm around my shoulders.
"She is right here. And she has her own opinions" I told both of them, exasperated. I pushed Felix's arm away and left the scene.
They just can't act as if I was some object. Besides, Felix was overreacting, he was just worrying about me when I was dizzy.
"Lŷkaina, right?" I heard a girl ask.
"Yes, you are?"
"Cho Chang, was that you talking to him?" She asked me, pointing at the boy I was talking to until Felix started a row.
"Yes, I had a migraine and he asked if I was okay." I told Cho, not giving it much importance.
"Oh, I wish he asked me if I was okay" she sighed and looked at him with dreamy eyes.
"What's his name, anyways?" I asked, realising I didn't even know his name.
"Marcus Tholl. He's a dream... I play with him on the Quidditch team but he's in fourth year, I have no chance, I'm only in third" I wanted to laugh at her.
