*(Y/N)'s P.O.V*
"Are you okay?" Shadow asked coming into my room. "I should be honest....." I began. "Wait! Shhhhh!" Shadow yelled. My bed room window opened slowly. He hit the blue hedgehog that cane in. "Ow Shadow it's just me!" He said. "I know." Shadow said. "Then why did you hit me?" He asked. "Because....." Shadow started. "Who's this?" He cut him off. "I'm...." I began. "That's none of your concern faker." Shadow said. "She could be working for the enemy." He whispered. "I don't know who the enemy is but I'm just an ordinary girl. You can trust me." I said. "She's right." Shadow said. " Oh Sonic!!!!!" A girl yelled. "Oh no! Gotta run!" Sonic ran away. The girl ran into my room. She was a pink hedgehog. "Where's my Sonic?!" She said. "Faker is downstairs Amy." Shadow said. "Thanks." She said running out of my room.

*Shadow's P.O.V*
"Are they your friends?" (Y/N) asked. "Not exactly." I said crossing my arms. "I guess I should show you now."(Y/N) took off the hat. I saw her black eye. Anger washed over me. "How could someone do this to her?!Why am I angry? I've only known her for a two days." I thought. "Who did this to you?!" I yelled. "Some of the kids at school. They call me names, Hit me, and do awful things to me. They told me if I told anyone that I'll pay." She cried. "Let's take care of your eye first." I said going downstairs. I grabbed ice. "Thank you." She said taking it from me.

*(Y/N)'s P.O.V*
"Thank you." I said taking the ice from him. *Beep* *Beeep* "I need to go. I won't be gone long." He said leaving my room. "Wait!" I yelled. He turned around. "Promise you'll be okay." I said. "Promise." He said leaving. "It must be for his job." I thought. I began to drift off to sleep.
"Wait promise me that you will be okay." The girl cried after him."I can't make any promises." "Wait don't go!" She yelled. "Protecting you is my job. " "No wait!" The girl cried.

*Shadow's P.O.V*
After my mission was completed I went back to (Y/N)'s house. I went upstairs to see if she was alright. She looked cold so I found her pokemon blanket and tucked her in. "Good night (Y/N)." I said shutting her bedroom door. I felt like this happened a long time ago. "But this couldn't have happened before. Because I just met her." I thought heading to the guest room. I then went to bed.

*(Y/N)'s P.O.V*
When I woke up I saw my pokemon blanket around me. "Shadow must have put this on me." I thought blushing. I got ready for school. I made breakfast and walked to school. "Oh it's (Y/N) hi loser." One of the mean girls said. I just kept on walking. "I never see her parents around. Maybe they left because they don't love her." The other one said. I felt tears running down my cheeks. "Knock it off!" A familiar voice yelled. I turned around and saw Shadow. "Who's this?" The first one said. "I'm her friend so you better knock it off. Or else!" Shadow said. "Or else what!" The second one said. "Or else YOU will have problems." He said pointing to both of them. "Thanks Shadow." I thought.
