*(Y/N)'s P.O.V*
The girls kinda ran to class. "Thank you. Why are you here? Aren't you supposed to be at work." I asked. "My boss told me that I could have a day off. " He said crossing his arms. "Awesome." I said. "Why did he help me? Does he feel like he owes me? Or something else." I thought as he walked with me. "I have to go to class." I said walking inside. Shadow grabbed my arm. "Huh?" I said turning around. "Don't let them hurt you. I know that we haven't known each other for long. But I know that you're strong." He said looking at me in the eyes. I nodded. "That's all." He said leaving. "R-Right." I said looking down at my hoodie. " Strong That doesn't sound like me." I thought opening the door.

*Shadow's P.O.V *
"I really hate to admit it. But I'm worried." I thought as I was walking away from  (Y/N)'s school. "Shadow." Faker yelled. "What now Faker." I said. "Do you like that girl?" "O-of course not! Where would you even get that idea?" I felt my face get hot. "Well you're blushing and you walked her to school." He said. "That means nothing. Now what did you want." I said crossing my arms. "We found another emerald. But there's a problem." He said. "How bad?" I asked. "It's in (Y/N)'s room." He said. "What!?" I said. The last time I went into her room without asking she almost slapped me. "Let's just wait until she gets back from school." I said. "Fine we better get it before Eggman does." He said running away.

(Y/N)'s P.O.V
After class they hurt you again. "No one likes you. You could just die!" They said.
After school
"I made dinner." Shadow said. "I'm not hungry!" You yelled running up to your room and locking your door. You cried. "They're right." You said adding some more cuts on your wrists. *Knock.Knock* What started as knocking became pounding. "Okay I'm here." You said covering up your cuts. "Let's eat." You said going downstairs. 
"Here. I have a question for you." Shadow said giving me a plate. "Let me say something first. You've helped me so I wanted to say thank you." You said showing him a  blue gem. "Can I have it?" He said. "Sure." You said. "It can be a thank you gift." I thought smiling.

*Shadow's P.O.V*
"Sure." She said. I looked at her. "Thank you." I said. I then I saw the streak of (F/C) in her hair. "Is there something wrong Shadow?" She asked. I closed my eyes. "What's that streak of  (H/C) in your hair?" "I've had it forever. Do you hate it?"  "No I love it." "Shadow?" (Y/N) said. "I'm alright." I said. "Are these flash backs I'm seeing? That princess looks like (Y/n)."
