Chapter 2

Bryan.

When I wake up I'm surrounded by people who love me. I am Bryan Mathews. I'm 21 years old, and English major. I'm going to graduate in the fall. These were all things that were written on a paper laying on my bed side table. I knew all these things of corse. Severely broken leg, fractured wrist. I'm in two casts, and I haven't seen or heard anything about her. Is she alright? Has she woken up? I wonder how long I've been out. Hopefully not to long. I can't imagine how much trouble I'd be in with my teachers if I didn't come to class. Though, I guess that doesn't matter. My nurse came in and I asked how the girl who was in the other car was doing.

"Oh, she's out still, been out about a week. No family, would you like to go visit her?"

"I would. What's her name?"

"Ariana Gram. 20, of South Detroit."

I smiled at that, she has such a beautiful name. I climb out of bed and into a wheel chair, the nurse wheels me out of the room and into Ariana's. she's so beautiful, despite being in a neck brace and bruised. I wheel over to her and touch her hand. If this was a Disney movie, her eyes would flash open and id sweep her off her feet. A few flaws in that plan, 1. Her eyes didn't flash open. 2. I physically can't stand and can't sweep her off her feet. So I've come to the conclusion, this is not a Disney movie.

I stayed at her bed side for hours, and days. On September 13th, she finally woke up. Her eyes blinked, and when she focused on one thing it was me, although obviously she had no idea who I was. I'm just the guy who crashed into her car. No one special.

"Hi. Who are you?" Ariana says in a sleepy voice. As if realizing her surroundings. She said "Wait where am I? Who am I?"

"One question at a time." I smirked at her, when she didn't show the least bit amusement I answered her questions. "Hello, I am Bryan Mathews, you are at the Detroit hospital, and you are Ariana Gram."

"How do you know me?"
