"Mom dad can I talk to you guys for a minute" Normani knew she had her fathers blessing and all and she's pretty sure her mother was all for the marriage but she still wanted to ask them. Plus she needed to build the courage to ask Camila's parents for their blessings which was the most important.
"Sure what you want to talk about."
"Well as you know me and Camila have been together for 3 years now. She makes me happy and I make her happy. I see a future with her I want us to have kids and grow old together I know she's the one. I can feel it even though I'm only 20 I think the time is right."
"So what are you saying?"
"I want to ask Camila to marry me"
"Oh sweetie that's wonderful news. But be mindful marriage is not a simple easy task. It's not just unlimited sex and peaches and cream everyday. You will face some of the most rockiest mountains being married and if you can't handle that you will lead to divorce." Normani's mother doesn't mean to scare marriage out of Normani's mind but she sure did leave an imprint on it.
"I know mom me and Dad talked about this. I'm ready to put my all into it I'm ready. Camila will me the mother of my children,she will be my wife I'm determined to make that happen. All I ask is for your blessing and support."
"Well you already got mine hell I gave you the ring it's just your mother to sign off her blessing."
"So mom what's your answer."
"I love Camila like my own daughter. I would hate to see what you guys have die because rushing into a young marriage. But you're grown to make your own life decisions. So yes you have my blessing."
Normani gave each of her parents a hug.
