Broken Pencil

Chap 1

I check myself in front of the mirror before going down stairs to make breakfast. A black t-shirt with a skull and ripped blue jeans seems okay. I grab my bag and skip down stairs into the kitchen. I drop my bag on the floor and get today's breakfast ready, bacon and eggs, simple but delicious.

Oh, silly me! I forgot to introduce myself! I'm Violet Walker, age 17 and I go to Green Ocean High. I have a 13 year old sister named Chloe and a loyal golden retriever called Rover. My parents are business people and because of that they are constantly going to one country to another. I would have joined them but they said that I should first graduate. Right now they are in England and are finally coming back home today!! Ya!

I hear Chloe run down the stairs and place herself on one of the chairs, "Morning sis!"

I give a light chuckle at her positive energy she was sending, "Morning Chlo, you excited for today?"

Chloe nods her head, "Obviously! Finally after 6 months I am finally gonna see mom and dad!!" she shrieks will she throws her hands in the end for drama. God, this girl is gonna be a good actor some day.

I turn around with the eggs and bacon in two separate plates and pass Chloe her plate, while I seat myself in front of her. "You're saying that as if mom and dad were away for years."

Chloe shrugs before she digs in the bacon, "I don't know. It feels like it though. I miss moms cooking." She said the last sentence with a smirk playing on her lips. I raise an eyebrow, "What's wrong with my cooking?"

Chloe shakes her head, "Just kidding sis. Oh, and I'm staying home to see mom and dad first."

I nod my head since I already had some food in my mouth. I hear the door bell ring. Chloe looks at the direction of the sound and then back at me, "Who could that be?"

I shrug, "Probably AJ."

AJ is my best friend since grade three; she is an invisible nerd who nobody notices, which is alright for her cause she has been use to being less social. We pretty much are like sisters from different mothers; she has a twin brother Luke, who is the exact opposite of AJ, he is the most popular boy in Green Ocean High. And no, he is not a player; in fact he never had a relationship. Even though he should have had at least one. All the girls in my school are head over heels crazy for him. Wait a second why am I rambling about Luke?

No idea...

Chloe shakes her head, "I'm going to my room."

"Sure, stay good and make sure you keep the music volume low, I don't want another complain from our neighbors from hearing so much of Melanie Martinez." I say with a smirk. Chloe rolls her eyes, "You love her music too sis!"

"That my lil sister.." I enjoyed Chloes' anticipating wide open mouth, "is true!"

I get up from my seat and pick up my bag, but not before I mess up her hair.

"See ya sis!"

"Bye Chlo!"

Chloe runs up stairs as I put on my converse, the bell rings again.

"ALRIGHT AJ I'M COMING!"

God this girl is so impatient. I open the door, but instead of seeing a grinning AJ, I see a slightly impatient....Luke Harper.
