Chapter 3 Part 1

So its Tuesday and we don't have school today. I can't stop thinking about Marcus the fact that he actually made it a priority to say sorry really made me think. He gave me his number so I don't wanna be desperate and text the same day. So I bit down on my bottom lip thinking if I should text him now or later " I choose now." I said to myself.

I was just about to text him till I heard a knock on the door "Come in." In walks my daddy Tyrese Gibson himself yeah that's my father.  "Hey My LoveBug!" he said and I chuckled cause he has called me that since I was a baby in diapers and it never gets old . "Hey dad how was work?" he shrugged "It was good I had to do finally finish my song called "Shame". I swallowed hard cause he made that song for a reason and it was cause my daddy cheated on my mom a week ago and she hasn't took it very lightly. So she is living in the other mansion around the way till they get it together.

Me and my dad both raised our eyebrows when we heard some keys we both got up and went downstairs. "Keri?" "Mom?" we both look surprised to see her come in. "Who else unless your father got some other Thirsty Becky in this house." she looked at dad at rolled her eyes and look at me and put the biggest smile on her face. "Well... come here silly I missed you!" she extended her arms to me. And, I smiled and walked to embrace her "Hey mom" I smiled a little. Yeah my mom is Keri Hilson . She let go of me kissing me on my forehead "So you ready to have this converstaion or no?" she says while she looks at my dad. He sighed "Yeah lets talk." and my dad turn toward me and says "LoveBug why don't you go to your bestfriend house for a while me and your mom talk." I shrugged and said " Ok ".

I got my keys went into my Teal Blue Focus and went to Tay house we always pop up on each other.

I pulled up to the stop sign looking at her house to see a boy who sort of looks like HaKeem walking out the door giving her a kiss and walked off. I shook it off as I pulled up to her driveway while she looked at my car and jumped then looked both ways and took a sigh of relief. She told me she was taking it slow with someone and she doesn't wanna rush it yet by introducing him to people. So I respect her wishes and I didn't look into it like that. I stepped out saying "Hay Bon Qui Qui." I chuckled and walked in her house "Hay Dyesheke." I stopped and rolled my eyes causing her to chuckle "I known you since we were in diva diapers and you still call me that?" I said and she nodded ."ANYWAYS!" I said giving her the middle finger. " Where is mommy?" I asked "She at work till midnight." Tay said. We both walked together in the kitchen "So that was your little boyfriend coming out the house huh?" I asked. She froze and said "You saw his face?" I raised a brow " Not really he kind of looked like Hakeem though." I smirked  joking with her.

She bursted out laughing "Girl please hush you jokey!" I chuckled and said "Whatever." "What brings you by anyway?" Tay asked. I sighed and said "Mom and dad having the talk and told me to come over here." She nodded in agreement. My phone vibrated causing me to look and a unknown number said "Shame I texted you first." I frowned and texted back saying "Um who is this?". The person texted right back saying " Its Marcus...." I looked surprised saying out loud "How the hell did Marcus get my number?" Tay cleared her throat and said "Um I did I forgot to mention that." I rolled my eyes and looked at her "Of course you did." I totally forgot to text him but at least I don't look desperate. I texted back saying " Oh heyy my bad I  got caught up in something.... wassup???" I put my phone back down in my pocket as soon as I did he replied saying "Nothing just chilling ...open the door." "Tay!" I said in a irritating tone. "Opps did I  do that?" she said. I rolled my eyes and ran to the mirror by the door to check myself and opened the door.

And there he was looking fine as ever  "Wassup" he said. I smiled and moved aside to let him in "Hey Mr Righ- I mean Marcus"Tay says I gave her the eye and Marcus chuckled "Wassup thanks for the invite." He looks at me and licks his lips. "Keep on licking them lips LL Cool J your lips gonna be chapped" I said. "Whatever aye so I broke your screen right?" He said "Your sure did." I said showing him my phone. "Ight so lemme take you to get it fixed." I was shocked "Right now?" He chuckled "Yeah now." I took a minute to respond. "Ok I will follow behind you." I said grabbing my purse "Cmon Tay." She grabbed her purse too. By the look on Marcus face he was looking confused but then he shook it off and walked out the door. He wasn't gonna get me that easy.

"Bitch why didn't you ride with Marcus?" Tay asked. I sighed keeping my eyes on the road and his car. "Cause I'm not bout to hop in no boys car I just met might I add." I said . She rolled her eyes keeping her eyes glued in her phone. Her boyfriend must be keeping her entertained. So we pull up to the place I parked next to his black Audi. We all get out the cars and walk in the place " Ayeee Marcus wassuh witcha cuz!?" They dap up eachother and the man looks at me "Oh shit you got a girl now?" " No no no no" I said that quick fast in a hurry. "I'm just here to fix her phone cause I accidentally bumped into her and that's how we met." Marcus said nudging me causing me to smile. "Well looks like it was meant to be." The man said looking at both of us. "Yeah yeah fix the phone ight." Marcus said chuckling." Ight it will be ready in 25 mins tops." Handing the man my phone and Marcus starts walking out the door. I guess he doesn't have to pay but I'm not complaining .

So we walk over the this bomb ass soul food place next door. We placed our order and within minutes it came and I nudged Tay cause she was all up in her phone too much. "Huh ok ok you have my full attention." she put her phone in her purse. I looked over to Marcus to see him already going in his plate. I chuckled a little and I just happen to look at the door  to see Hakeem walking in holding hands with some girl. And Tay looks and HaKeem and his new girl and clears her throat and get teary eyed. "Um I will be right back these cramps are killing me." she runs to the bathroom. I look at Hakeem and I see him look at Tay run in the bathroom and he puts his face in his hands and shake his head. I knew what the fuck was going on. Then Hakeem looks at me and says "Fuck." and speeds walk out real fast leaving his girl.

"Hey Marcus I'm ready to go." I said nicely holding back my tears I was doing one hell of a good job. He chuckles "You barely touched your food but alright." We get our things to go. I get up and begin to walk out wiping a tear that escaped my eyes running down my cheek. "Aye you leaving Tay?" he says in a chuckle. I gritted my teeth together just hearing her name I turned around and smiled . "She say her boyfriend coming to get her she texted me she was tired of third wheeling." He got up from his seat and says " Oh shit so we on a date huh?" I chuckled. "Ha! Cmon so I can get my phone."  We walked out and went back next door and waited a few more minutes then I got my phone thanked his friend. We both get to our cars "Thanks you Marcus." I hugged him and he put his arms around my waist and held me tight it felt so right I wanted to kiss him so bad. We let go off each other "No problem Lauren." I swear I was trying so hard not to bite my bottom. "Ill text you first this time." He chuckles and gets in his car and I do the same getting in mine. "Sure Ight." we both pulled off going our separate ways.

I was speeding like a bat out of hell but carefully. I pass by my Ex-Bestfriend house to see Hakeem car parked in front. "THIS MOTHER FUCKA!" I'm really tempted  to pull up and whoop his ass but at the same time I wanna just go home before I do something I regret.
