Chapter 6

Lauren P.O.V

"Lauren time for breakfast!" I heard my mom yell from the intercome, I got up pressed the button to respond.

"Ok Im coming." I stretched and yawned went downstairs to eat.

"Goodmorning Lovebug." My daddy said kissing me on my forehead I smiled at him cause I wasn't in the mood to speak.

I sat down at the table waiting for my mom to fix my plate and she brings it to the table. Then my phone vibrates.

"Double date at the mall today?" Marcus texted me.

"Sure babe ♥" I texted him back.

I put my phone on the table and started to eat then mom and dad sat down to eat.

"Im going to the mall with Marcus and his friend and his girlfriend today." I said before biting my bacon.

"You mean like a double date." My mom said handing me the butter for my grits.

I chuckled cause I meant to say double date but the way daddy was looking I wanted to make it seem like a regular day.

"Yeah a double date." I got a butter knife and slice a big piece of butter and layed it on my grits to melt.

"Well I wanna meet this Marcus." I looked at daddy in shock cause he said so calm, whatever my mom did must have payed off.

"Ok you can meet him today ill tell him to come over here first." He was chewing his food and nodded.

"You are going with the couple that was at the hospital, the boy that was gazing at me."

"Yep that's them and he got boxed in the arm by his girlfriend because of it." We all laughed.

"Thats right I like her." Me and mom rolled our eyes and shook our head.

We all continued eating and talking.

I turned off the shower and wrapped the towel around me, grabbed my phone and went into my closet to look for a outfit. I almost forgot to call Marcus so he can come over here first to meet my dad. I went to my contacts and touch his name and pressed the phone icon, I started to hear the dial tone. And after two rings he decides to pick up.

"Yo bae." He sounded like he been up chilling.

"Hay im just gonna skip right to the point." He sighs .

"What is it?" I took a deep breath.

"My daddy wants to meet you today." I heard nothing but silence.

"Ok im getting dressed umm its like 11:32 ill be over there round 12 or 12:15." I was surprised cause he didn't sound nervous.

"Ok babe." I was just about to hang up till he said something else.

"Aye you wanna ride in my car to the mall since ill be there." I thought for a second.

"Yeah thats good save me some gas." I said going to the mirror putting a shirt to my chest.

"Alright see you in a few." He said while yawning.

"Alright bye."

"Bye."

I hung up the phone and threw it on my bed and I went to the intercome in my room. And I pressed parents room.

"Daddy you in there?" I let go off the button waiting for him to respond.

"Yeah lovebug wassup?"

"Marcus will be here around 12 or 12:15 to meet you."

"Alright."
