The next morning with a smile on his face, Ryner poured himself a cup of coffee. He normally wouldn't drink the stuff, but today he needed the extra boost. After hearing the ruffling behind him, he turn taking a sip of his coffee in time so see Brady plopped down on one of the island stools. With his hair disheveled, he yawned and shook his head as if it would help shake the sleep from him. It reminded Ryner of Avery, who would sit up in his crib obviously still half asleep and slightly shaking his head making him more dizzy than tired. It was funny at first, but seeing his brother doing the same thing evoke the reminder that Brady fathered little Avery. It was easier not to think about when Brady was gone but now it was undeniable.

"I didn't expect to see you up this earlier." The blonde twin rested his cheek on his hand propped up by his elbow on the counter. He rubbed his eyes with the other hand.
"I'm trying to train my body to reset its clock; South Africa is hours ahead of us. Why are you up early?" His hazel eyes shifted over the standing brunette who seemed dressed for work.
"You can't possibly be going to work on a weekend, and when your favorite brother just got back home." Ryner put down his coffee and poured one for his brother and slid it to him.
"I'm only going in for a couple of hours, I have a production company to run, not all of us can go out and play super hero and save the world one country at a time." Brady stuck his tongue out at his brother's lame joke.
"Why are you so cheerful this morning?" The blonde took a big gulp of the coffee and stare at his brother, who held a Cheshire grin.
"Dude," a groaned left him when it dawned on him. "Please spare the details."
"Oh, because you spared me all details?" He teased.
"Touché, and I do want to apologize for how I behaved back then, I was selfish and couldn't see who I was hurting. And for that I am sorry."
"Bro, seriously it okay. That was the past, I'm over it. It turned out well in the end." The conversation was interrupted with a child squeal and a toddler running full force towards Ryner.
"Good morning Avery." He greeted lifting his in son in his arms.
Then in his own language mixed with English, Avery responded and rambled on. Ryner just nodded and said a few 'uh huhs' and 'reallys'. Jenna entered once their 'conversation' was finished.

"He has been like that all morning, just chit chatting. It must have been some dream he had." Releasing the squirming child from his arms, he reached out and pulled Jenna into him.
"How are you this morning?" he asked in a hush whisper, she saw the worship in his eyes. Since the day they got married Ryner never hide his feels for her, even now when she struggled to reciprocate his feels he was patience with her.
"I feel great a little tired, but great." And there was that smile again, he turned her back into his front and squeezed her tight, kissing her behind the ear before resting his chin on her shoulder.
"Good." Avery advanced towards Brady and reached out for him.
"Up!" Brady looked down, shocked that Avery took to him so well.
"You want to sit with me, little dude?" He lifted the boy onto his lap who instantly continued with the chatting he began with Ryner. Jenna stomach flipped, she knew that Avery favored Brady, now she could see it was uncanny. The expression on her little boy's face mirrored his biological father's. Ryner felt Jenna stiffen seconds before she cleared her throat, her fingers detached herself from him and she move aside to the refrigerator. Ryner recognized that reaction, she was thrown off from seeing Avery and Brady together. Ryner had to admit it made him feel a bit uneasy, he could have pictured the roles reversed had Brady decided to stay and build a stable relationship with Jenna. His life could have been his older brother's.

"What did you want for breakfast; I was thinking pancakes and eggs." She went around the kitchen gathering the ingredients.
"I was going to grab an apple on my way out the door?" She twisted around abruptly; Ryner swore it was panic across her face.
"Where are you going?"
"I have to go to the office for a couple of hours, I got a new client Monday. I need to polish a few things." He emptied his cup down the sink.
"What about Brady?"
"Jenna, he is like a dog. Just feed him, leave out a bowl of water and hope he doesn't pee on the floor before I get back."
"Hey!" Brady cried in protest, and to add insult to injury, Avery started barking after hearing the word dog. Ryner busted out in laughter with Brady soon after and then Avery not sure why he was laughing, just wanting to be involved.
Jenna back was now towards them she began to mix the pancake batter; she would be fine she told herself. She was nervous to be left alone with Brady, she cried the day he got on the plane to leave, and there was Ryner arms around her and held her as she sobbed throughout the night. She was so broken with the breakup, the pregnancy and then his departure. Unaware of Ryner feelings for her at the time, she mourned her lost love for his brother, and he stayed at her side. He came to doctor appointments with her; he was there when she got to hear the heartbeat for the first time. Not until he proposed to her did she know he loved her.
