Once the sheets where changed and tossed onto the washing machine he was so focus on the miso soup, he didn't hear the footsteps behind him.
"Ry." He nearly jumped out of his skin turning to face her.
"Holy crap you scared me. Have a seat, it's almost done." He took in the vision of her. Even post-sick in her penguin theme pajamas, she was beautiful to him. He twirled back around, not trusting himself not to run to her.
"Listen-"
"There is no need to thank me Jenna. You know I would do anything for you-"
This time she interrupted him, in an instant she had her arms wrapped around his middle her cheek pressed against his back, Ryner froze.
"If you would let me speak Ryner and let me tell you, I don't want to say thank you." His heart stopped beating after the next words left her lips.
"I wanted to say I love you." Before she knew it he dislodge from her, and she was pinned between him and the refrigerator."Say it again." His whispered demanded, his hazel eyes pleaded, his glazed could have melted her on the spot. He waited years for this; her saying those words to him finally was like hearing his favorite song play over and over again.
"I love you." Ryner allowed his hand to nestle the sides of her face.
"Again." He inched closer to her, his body urged against hers. Jenna hands held a handful of his shirt on both sides of him tightly, wanting more of him touching her.
"I love you and I'm sorry it took so long." He beamed an abundance of emotion flicked in his eyes threating to spill. A small chuckle escaped him in victory.
"It was well worth the wait."
"Ryner wait," his lips brushed hers. "I'm still sick."
"Jenna, I really don't care." Once they finally connected. Ryner swore time stopped. Some divine being opened the stars and yanked him inside. Jenna snaked her arms around his neck, as his fell to her hips then embracing her entirely. Clutching the nape of his neck, Jenna pulled him in deepening the kiss. Her leg hitched around him, Ryner pushed against her. His lips trailed down her jaw to the crook of her neck. All sense of thought left Ryner. The only thing he wanted at that moment was her."Ryner," She called practically panting in his ear. "Wait...the stove is still on." Jenna wondered if he heard her, as he continued. His fingers wiggled under her shirt.
"Ryner..the stove." She spoke louder. A growl left his throat. He pulled away, his eyes hooded in need. Jenna never seen him so primal and raw, he looked as if he wanted to eat her alive. He stepped back, closing his eyes and took in deep breath and released it slowly.
"Go take a sit." He ordered. "You need to eat and I need to cool down." Ryner watched her walk over to the counter taking a sit. He felt like a lion watching its prey before pouncing. Getting control of himself, he fixed her a bowl sitting it in front of her. Taking one of the stools, he dragged it over to the other side so he could watch her.
Jenna was half way through the bowl, when she felt eyes still on her. Slowly placing the soup down, she glanced up at him. She began to think that was a mistake, his faced painted with hunger, his eyes greedy; his nimble fingers drummed against the counter impatiently.
This was all new to Jenna, Ryner had never held that look before. He was always so collected and calm, never to rush. But now he could barely sit still, he bit down on the corner of his lip before he spoke."Are you still hungry? Need anymore? How do you feel?" The question fired off back to back.
"No, and I feel fine. Great, really!" The words barley left her lips and he was up knocking the stool down in the process, rounding the corner. He took hold of her arm yanking her against him. Jenna eyes widen in shock.
"Jenna, I plan on taking you up those stairs into our bedroom. I'm going to mark every each of your body as mine. I will make you forget everything we been through in the last week. I finally have you fully and I'm not going to leave any doubt in your mind that you belong to me. So just for the record, I'm going to ask you again. How are feeling?"
She felt like her body as on fire and it wasn't the fever this time around, her heart rammed against her ribcage. Her throat became dry, her legs felt like they would give way at any moment. But she hasn't been this turned on in her life.
"Ryner," she pushed up on her tiptoes and nipped against his chin. "Take me upstairs."
True to his word, Ryner did everything he told her he would. Now she was bent at the waist, her hands planted at the edge of the bed. She could have sworn they been at this for hours. He teased her, touched her everywhere, kissing every inch and taking his sweet time. His hands felt like they were burning against her bare hip, Jenna fisted a hand full of the sheets. If he didn't take her soon....
"Ry-"she pleaded. "Please, put me out of my mercy." She heard him chuckle behind her. Goosebumps flooded over her body, he hovered over her, and his lips swept the back of her neck.
"You know what words I want to hear. Let those words fall from your lips once more and I'll give you want you want." He uttered into her ear then bit lightly on her shoulder. Had she known that earlier she would have ended her pleasurable torture moments ago.
"Ryner I love you and only you." She responded hastily. "Now will you please ju-" Tears of relief sprung in her eyes once he entered her forcefully. He pushed her further onto the bed, her stomach flat against the mattress. Ryner pinned her arms above her head with one hand, his other hand still at her hip. Gripping at the flesh as he claimed her, she reared against him, aching for a release. He grinned in triumph he was going to oblige, but he was far from done with her.Morning was long gone when Ryner woke up, his arms snaked tightly around his wife, who rested her head on his chest. Her naked body thrown half way over his, He snicker slightly, remember her saying she wound feel she would be sore in the morning. Ryner should have apologized, but he wasn't sorry, after hearing her confession something snapped inside him. One word shot across his mind. Mine. He wanted nothing more than to take her in that instant, he hardly made it through her eating her soup. Mumbling in her sleep, she snuggled closer into him, he welcomed it without hesitation, he kissed her forehead, closing his eyes he happily feel back to sleep.
Epilogue
Two year later...."I can't believe you called you're brother all the way over here for this." Jenna scorned. Her face was buried into his chest, his arms wrapped around her, his chin resting on the crown of her head; as they stood in front of their bathroom door inside their bedroom.
"You didn't object at the time. Both of us were scared to look, this is his job as the big brother." He joked with her. Since the day Jenna finally told him that she loved him, a whole new world seemed to have opened up for the both of them. Jenna became more comfortably around Brady, she was no longer tensed when he would come around. She smile and laughed at his horrible jokes, but when her eyes would met Ryner's; it would reflect the same look in his eyes. Ryner figured a long time ago that Brady knew what happened after his stay at his brother place but he never confirmed his suspicious. For that Ryner was grateful, though Brady did comment saying 'Sometimes a bone have to be re-broken to heal correctly.'Ryner still couldn't believe that his brother matured as much as he did after the Peace Corp. Avery, who was now four; began to mirror his brother's looks and personality. Ryner had to admit that it, it scares him about the day that Avery might find out the truth. But it never stopped him from letting Brady hang out with Avery. He loved and appreciated his brother for taking the role of Uncle as serious as Ryner took on the role of father.
His trip down memory lane was broken when Brady exited out the bathroom. Too scared to look at the home pregnancy test for themselves, Ryner called Brady; who only lived five minutes away, asking him to do it for them. Brady busted out in laughter, and agreed. The blonde eyes connected with his, then a huge grin broken out on his face.
"Holy shit!" Ryner pulled back from Jenna, she was confused until she looked over at her brother in law. He nodded at her, her hands flew over her mouth, and then her eyes shifted to the brunette in front of her.
"Jenna we are going to have a baby!" She squealed and leapt into his arms.
"Congrats, little brother." Brady slapped him on the back, turning his head fighting back the emotion that got caught in his throat. "Thanks Brady."
The curious four years old, peeked into the room, he looked from his uncle to his mom then landed on his dad. He walked over to them tucked at Ryner's pants leg.
"Daddy what happened?" Releasing his wife, Ryner scooped the little boy in his arms.
"Av, what do you think about having a brother or sister?" He scrunched up his face in confusion. Jenna giggled at the boy's face.
"Avery, in a few months, mommy and daddy will bring someone home to live with us. Do you think you will like that?"
He nodded, Jenna was sure he didn't fully understand it, but it was better than nothing.
"Hey, Avery." Brady called out. "About you come and hang out with me, and give your mom and dad sometime alone."
"Can I have Ice cream?" He whispered over to his uncle as if no one else can hear it.
"For you Avery, anything." He whispered back taking the boy from his twin and exiting the room.
"Are you happy?" Ryner asked once they were alone.
"Of course I am Ryner, I want nothing more than this," Then she stopped and tapped her chin as if she was thinking. "Well there is one thing."
"Anything, sweetheart, just name it." He stepped closer embracing her.
"A kiss would be nice." She replied shyly.
"Right away." Soundly he placed a kiss on her waiting lips.Eight months later...
Ryner was so happy right now, his leg could fall off and it wouldn't ruin his mood. He cradled the small boy in his arms. He rocked back on the rocking chair, letting the baby grip his finger.
"Are you hungry, Wes?" He cooed, taking his hand away to grab the bottle, and began to feed the child.
"Right on time." He heard his wife sigh; she came into the nursery with Wes's twin sister in her arms. She gently kissed their daughter's forehead and placed her in the crib.
"How is my little Rosie?" Jenna squatted down, running a finger over their son's hand.
"Full and out like a light." She beamed up at him, he leaned over kissing her.
"I'm going to run to the store with Avery before Brady gets here for movie night. He is finally bringing the new girlfriend over." She wiggled her eyebrows. Jenna was determined to see Brady as happy as she and Ryner were which in turn included shaking down the new woman in his life.
He laughed quietly, "Be nice."
"Hey, if she going to be potential Aunt slash godmother material to our children, she needs to be grilled thoroughly." She skipped out the door; she popped her head in a few seconds later.
"Wait for me?"
"Always."
