Riker's pov
I was looking at Sierra and wondering. I saw behind her that Ross and Ashley were having a conversation on paper. I looked and Sierra was doodling on a piece of paper. She was covering up her paper, but there was a part tat she didn't cover so well. I saw Rik sticking out. That is what gave me the confidence to do what I was about to do. I took out a piece of paper, drew a rose on one side and wrote what I wanted to ask in big, bold , winding letters that took up most of the page. I folded it and slipped it onto her desk when she wasn't looking. Then she opened the paper and wrote her response. She folded it back up and gave it back.
Ross's pov
I was waiting for her to respond to me. It took all my courage to give her that paper. I don't think I could take it if she said no. I would die inside. I'm just sitting here as she is writing in her perfect handwriting the response that could complete me or wreck me. I'm lucky the teacher has not called on me, because I would be completely clueless. When she finally folded the paper back up and put it back on my desk. As I unfolded the paper and read the answer, my heart started to feel funny and I didn't know what was happening. I wanted to scream and shout, but I knew I couldn't.
