A week later we were back in school. I was sitting in the library during my free period with papers spread on the table around me. Daxton was talking with a tall and willowy redhead. I was too busy studying for my exams to pay much attention to what they were saying.

"Does that sound alright?" Daxton asked me. My head shot up as I tried to remember what they were saying.

"Does what sound alright?" I questioned. He chuckled at me and smiled.

"If Sherri and I go on a date tonight. You'll be alone most of the night." The redhead grinned and batted her eyes while I rolled mine. That girl seemed to be as fake as her knock off purse.

"Whatever," I hissed. He knew I didn't want to be used and though I had only known him for a short amount of time I thought he was someone I could see myself with and trust without a doubt. I thought he wouldn't use me.

He turned back to Sherri as I packed up my things and left their table. I went to sit in a big cushioned chair before pulling out my biology textbook. The soft cushions hugged me comfortably and I curled up in it.

"My best friend is a major jerk, isn't he?" a deep voice asked. I looked up to see a tall blond peering at me. He grinned at me and my first thought was that he was a creep.

"Excuse me?" I asked. He dropped into the chair across from me.

"I mean it's obvious Dax likes you and I can see why. Though why he's letting you walk away is something I don't understand."

"Who are you?" I asked rudely while closing my book.

"Temper, temper miss. I'm Landon Beech."

"Why are you prying into my life?"

"Nothing better to do."

"You are very irritating."

"And you are never going to learn anything by just holding the book. Do you plan to absorb information through your fingers?"

I chuckled and closed my eyes while pretending to chant. Landon chuckled and joined in with me. When I opened my eyes he was doing some weird dance around my chair.

"What are you doing?" I laughed. He shrugged and grabbed my hands before making me dance around with him. I chuckled as we we glared at by the librarian.

"What are you doing?" Daxton hissed as he approached us.

"Having fun!" I exclaimed as Landon pulled me to his chest and sobbed over me as Daxton tried to pull me away.

"Well let's go now," Daxton said.

"Am I not allowed to have friends?" I snapped as I spun to face him. "I need a new one you know."
