Desmond's P.O.V
The doors were (obviously) locked. So we had no choice but to smash the glass doors open with stray rocks we found. Dean was a bit too crazy and started kicking the left over glass white his scuffed-up sneakers, Kolby and I had to pull him away.
"C'mon, just let me kick it some more." Dean pleads, trying to break free of our grasp.
"Sorry Dean, not gonna happen." Kolby snaps back, waiting for Ash to open the door. She opens the door and doesn't look amused, she looks at me with her dark gaze. I just avert my eyes and let Dean go. I still don't understand why Ash is so angry at me, I keep tracing my thoughts back, and I can't think of nothing. Something also tells me though that maybe she's not angry, and I've just been assuming this whole time. Maybe she's going through something at home, maybe-
"Hurry up Desmond!" Kolby shouts. I snap from my thoughts and run inside.
The place looks just as I remember it, except a bit more dustier. We grab our flashlights from our bags and illuminate the room.
"You guys did remember to bring extra batteries, right?" Kolby asks, a bit of worry in his voice.
"Yep!" Dean exclaims, flicking his flashlight on and off.
"Mm hm." I hum, showing him the extra batteries stashed in my pocket.Ash doesn't speak, she just nods. We examine the room, the stage is still there, but no animatronics are on it. Pirate's Cove looked abandoned, I covered my mouth. There was a foul stench, everyone was doing the same thing. I gagged a little.
"What's that smell?" Dean says in a high-pitched tone, continuing to pinch his nose.
"I don't know..." Kolby trails off, he pauses for a second, and the his eyes glitter. "We should split up!"
"That's not a good idea," Ash says. "We're not in a Scooby-Do show, Fred, these animatronics could actually kill us."
"Don't be such a worry wart," Dean teases. "These animatronics have been off since the place has been abandoned."I didn't understand why they were speaking like the was abandoned so many years ago, it's only been two days.
"We'd cover more ground if we split up." Kolby says, he looks a bit proud of himself that he is the leader.
"Fine, whatever you say." Ash grumbles, we make eye contact for half a second, and she jerks away, swishing her blond hair.
"Ok then, Dean and I will take notes on Freddy and Bonnie..." - Kolby looked excited when he mentioned Freddy - "... and Desmond and Ash will examine Chica and Foxy."I looked over at Ash, who was already looking at me. If Ash and I were on speaking terms, then this would be really fun. But there was just awkward silence between us. Ash began walking, so I followed her, and took a glance at Kolby and Dean. Stay safe. Ash and I looked everywhere, but we couldn't seem to find anything. The foul stench got stronger, I covered my nose and mouth with my shirt, so did Ash. Our lights shined upon a door, we couldn't read the sign- for it had been smudged off by something -but the foul smell was coming from this room. Ash and I looked at each other.
"Should we really be doing this?" I asked, Ash's eyelids lowered.
"I may be no detective, but I'm pretty sure that the notes we'll need to get an A is in this room." She answers dull and sarcastically. She was starting to get on my nerves.
"Are you angry at me?" I asked, my eyebrows furrowed.
"Why would I be angry?" She huffs, swishing her hair in my face.
"I don't know, why would you?" I seeth. She looks away in frustration. Sighs. Then looks back at, she looks a bit teary.
"I'm not sure." She mutters under her breath, I was barely able to hear it. "I'll go examine Chica now, try to get some decent notes on Foxy."
"I will." I say with a sigh.I can feel her walking farther away from me, and it makes my chest hurt. I grab a tuff of my shirt as I walk into Pirate's Cove. The dazzling shade of purple is just as I remembered it, it hasn't even faded a bit. It's quite beautiful, but it's hiding something deadly. I slowly open up the curtain and peek inside, my stumble back in horror. The famous Foxy himself stands proudly. His once yellow glowing eyes are dull and empty, and his maw hangs open, revealing his sharp bloody teeth. The memories came rushing back, so I sat with my head in my arms.
"I'm scared..." I whimper, shaking uncontrollably.
"Desmond?" Ash's voice echoes in the empty hallways. "Are you ok?"I didn't respond, I had no voice. It felt as though someone was tugging on my throat, and when I looked up, someone actually was! It was Lily, she smiled manically and squeezed around my neck even tighter. My airway was blocked and I was beginning to see black dots...
This is the end, isn't it?
"Desmond!" Ash exclaims, her flashlight made Lily hiss. She bit her tongue in annoyance and faded away. Ash grabs my hands with teary eyes. "What are you doing to yourself?!" She cries.
I didn't realize it before, but apparently, she used my hands. I looked down at my hands, my knuckles were pure white, and my palms were lightly red and shaky. Ash is crying, and so am I.
"I don't know..." I whimper, crying even more. Ash wraps her arms around my neck and hugs me tightly, my eyes go wide.
"I don't know what to say, I'm just bad luck after all." She states, her hot breath radiates on my earlobe. "But you shouldn't do those things, even when things are tough. If you have any family problems, then just tell me. And I won't judge you, or laugh, or anything unless you want me to." She explains, blushing a bit.I don't know where to start, but I cry everything out. My parents, the past, my brother, this place, she looks a bit guilty and won't look at me.
"... I wasn't angry at you." Ash says. "Just so you know."
"I wasn't angry at you either." I cry, I couldn't stop hugging her. She was so soft and warm, and comforting. We stop hugging, and I take the moment to stare at her. She was really pretty, like, really pretty. And she doesn't even realize it. She curls a lock of her golden hair behind her ear and smiles sweetly.
"I'll always help you, since you saved me." She says.
"Why can't you make that face every day?" I asked, smiling. "It's cute."She looks away and pulls her blond hair down, hiding her blushing face.
"C'mon, let's go get some notes on Chica and Foxy." She says, changing the subject. I take her hand into mine and smile sweetly, she smiles as well.
"Let's not split this time." I suggest.
"Agreed."???'s P.O.V
"Kill him." She whispers in my ear, she coils her body around me.
"But, but he's my friend..." I explain, hoping to not anger her.
"His father killed me," She hisses. "Are you not going to avenge your sister?"I glanced over at him, smiling sweetly and holding hands with Ash. He shouldn't be smiling, not after what his father did. He should pay the price... right?
