Ella's POV
"Thanks Charlie," I whisper to my big brother as he hands me my 2 suitcases.
I look at the Opera House- It's beautiful in the night sky and so big, like I mean really big, I never see anything like this in the country.
I look back to Charlie and he is looking for something in his car.
"Here," he hands me an evenlope with my name on it.
I take and am about to ask what its for when he shakes his head so I put it in my purse.
"I can't tell you, read it later." he says sadly and he closes his car door and locks it. He grabs one of my suitcases and helps me find my way to the Grand Verryton Hotel, which is where I'm supposed to be staying for the next few months.
After a while Charlie and I end up in front a very fancy and expensive looking hotel and we both walk in to the reception.
"Um," I say and the lady looks up to me.
"How may I help you?"
"I'm from the Cinderella Musicale and I'm supposed to... um... have accomadation here for a few months?" I read from the details from a paper that Ms. Maye printed for me.
The lady nods and hands me a plastic card printed with ROOM 13, LEVEL 5.
"This is your room card, just swipe it and you'll be able to access your room. Try hard not to lose it! Oh and, you'll have 2 roomates as well." she nods.
I thank her and Charlie leads me to the elevator.
"Roomates, huh?" Charlie winks at me. "You won't be so lonely after all."
I gently punch his arm and just the elevator dings and a few girls around my age dressed in very, uh, revealing clothing step out of it and walk past us.
"Do you think those were my roomates?" I ask nervously and Charlie chuckles.
"Calm down, Ella, you'll be fine." Charlie steps into the elevator and holds the doors open so they won't squash me.
After only a minute we reach Level 5 and look for Room 13.
"There it is," Charlie starts to walk towards the end of the corridor.
I try to keep up with him and by the time I get there he's impatiently tapping his foot.
"So-rry," I roll my eyes sarcastically and he laughs as I swipe my card into a thing next to the door handle. The door clicks and I hear voices.
"Well this is it," Charlie looks at the room and back at me.
"I'll miss you," I reach in for a hug and I hear a oohh and I turn around to see 2 girls staring at us.
"Is he your boyfriend?" the blonde one asks me shyly, twirling her hair around.
I laugh and shake my head.
"My brother," I say and walk towards to shake hands.
"Oh, well, now I kinda DO see you guys look alike," the brunette answers and laughs.
"I've gotta go," Charlie nods to me and the girls. "Take care, okay, Ella Wella?"
I nod and hug him for the last time and smile sadly at him. He was my closest friend I ever had.
"Bye Charlie," I say as he steps out of the hotel room.
"Bye Ella... and um... girls." he waves and I feel my eyes brimming with tears.
"Oh, girl, you okay?" the brunette sees me and leads me to one of the three beds, sitting me down.
I nod and breathe in and out.
"I'm just gonna miss him," I say and take a tissue from the blonde.
"Thanks," I muffle and blow my nose.
"Oh and by the way, Catie and this is Lily." Catie, the brunette, gestures to herself and Lily.
"Do you want me to get your bags?" Lily asks me quietly and I shake me head.
"It's okay, I've got them," I stand up and grab my two suitcases and start to unpack while the other girls watch me.
"Oh and your wardrobe is this bit." Catie shows me the empty space in the wide wardrobe.
"Thanks guys," I smile.
"So.. do you guys want to do something together? I mean, its just us 3." Lily asks us and Catie and I nod.
"Shopping?" Catie suggests and I laugh.
"At this time of night?" Lily says, her eyes wide and I shrug. "Won't it be dangerous? What if something happens?"
"It'll be fine," Catie reassures her.
If only I knew what was going to happen...
