Ella's POV
"Catie! For the last time no!" I squeal at her as she drags me and Lily to another shop window with 'OROTON' in big letters at the top. It's full of shiny bags, wallets, purses, you get it. She lets go of us and goes to look at the bags herself. I'm actually surprised there are almost no people here at night, as its the city but cars drive past us occasionally.
"Phew! I almost thought she wouldn't let go of us!" Lily whispers and rubs her wrist.
I nod and laugh. Catie was a sure maniac when it came to shopping. We had been looking at so many stores that it had made my feet hurt. Whereas with Catie, it seemed like she was a small child running around for candy. In this case, shopping was the candy.
We waited around for a few more minutes then Catie turned around to look at the store right across the street. Prada. Oh dear, another fancy store. Weren't there any normal, simple stores? Back in the country, there was a pretty big IGA, but that was just for groceries. There weren't many clothes shops, so I just ordered mine online off Target and those other notmuchdesignerclothes shops.
I looked down at my plain yellow and white striped t shirt with a faded navy hoodie on top. The old jeans I wore didn't make much difference, neither did my favourite 'country' boots.
I guess you can call me a notintofashion girl.
Now back into reality: now Catie was pestering poor Lily to take her to a Chanel shop. Catie doesn't know too much about Sydney either since she actually came from New York whereas Lily is the only one who lives here in Sydney but not in the city, in Liverpool a good while away. Fortunately for Catie, it seems all the big- branded shops are bunched up together.
"C'mon! Lily, this is the last time I'll make you take me to another shop!" Catie was practically begging her to take her to Chanel.
"Catie, you've said that at least 3 times..." Lily rolled her eyes playfully.
"Pleaseeee!" Catie tugged on her arm.
"Fine. But this is the last one!" Lily sighed.
Catie did a little victory dance whilst Lily looked at me.
"Do you want to go anywhere?" Lily asked me.
I shook my head but then I realised that I needed to pee.
"Well... I need to go to the bathroom if that counts!" I said, laughing.
Lily laughed and Catie stopped dancing, realising what I said and joined in with us laughing and pointed to a small 'thing' down the street. I looked closer and realised it said 'Toilet'.
"There's one but I think you need to pay to go in," Catie fumbled though her purse.
"It's okay, I have some spare cash," I reassured her.
"Want us to come?" Lily asked and I shook my head.
"It's okay, I'll find you guys later. You'll be at Chanel right?" I asked.
"Are you sure? It's pretty dark now, its more like midnight." Lily patted me on the back.
"I'll be fine," I said.
"I think I should-" Lily said.
"I'll be fine." I repeated and as Lily opened her mouth to talk again, I said,"It's just down the street, silly! Chanel isn't too far right?"
Lily nodded and Catie hugged me.
"You have a phone right?" she asked.
"Nope," I said
