Luna
"Are you sure you wanna do this?" Evan says, hesitating to hand me the bag.
I nodded.
"I mean, I thought you said you weren't going to do drugs anymore."
I nodded again. "Just give it." I snatched it.
She flinched after I took the bag.
(Uhm a little side note. Idk how drugs like cocaine work so I just made the drugs pills.)
I took two pills from the bag and gulped it down.
"Are you supposed to take two?"
I gave her a cold stare.
"Okay, okay. No more questions." Evan looked down.
"Thank you!" I screamed.
The pills are kicking in, excellent.
I hit my head again.
"Bro, you need to stop hitting your head." Evan rubbed my forehead.
I shrugged and took a look at my watch.
"I should probably head back home." I moped.
Evan nodded. "I agree. Bye, Luna." She opened the door for me as I grabbed my bags and walked out.
---
You shouldn't go home.
They don't want you.
You're not good enough for them.
I wiped my eyes.
Why is this voice in my head trying to control me, like a voodoo doll?
Ooh, voodoo. I like that. Call me voodoo for now on. That'll get you NOWHERE.
When the voice screamed 'nowhere', I fell to the ground covering my ears.
You look like a fool.
"STOP!" I screamed.
I yelled and flailed my arms back and forth, trying to get the voice to stop.
Then, someone grabbed my arm, roughly.
I slapped the person.
"Hey! Fuck you!"
I recognized the voice.
"Angie?"
---
Angie grabbed me the arm to pick me up.
"Okay, Luna! What's going on?"
I rubbed my eyes.
"Are you doing drugs again?"
"That's none of your business."
Angie looked offended.
"Yes it is. You are living with me. I swear if you're doing drugs-"
"Then what? You'll kick me out? You'll tell me to go back home? You're too nice for that."
She rolled her eyes.
"I can and will do whatever I want, it's my house, not yours."
It was my turn to roll my eyes.
"You won't kick me out. What about Lilly?"
"I mean, she is with you. She would go with you."
"Ugh, Angie!"
"What? What do you expect? You run away for half a week and you expect us not to be scared? That's stupid."
So the voice in my head lied.
"You...care about me?"
Angie nodded.
"Of course. Sometimes you get on my nerves, but that doesn't mean I don't care about you."
I smiled.
"Now let's go back in." She opened the door to a smiling Annabelle and an..angry(?) Lilly.
"Ugh finally!" Anna pulled me in for a hug.
Then, Lilly walked over.
"Bend down." She said.
"What?"
"Bend down." She said, more roughly.
I bent down as she slapped my cheek.
"Ow! What was that for?"
"For having me worried sick! You shouldn't have left." Lilly cried, pulling me into a hug.
Angie gave me an 'I told you so' look.
Annabelle walked into the kitchen.
"Who wants pancakes?"
Lilly and I both screamed 'Me!'.
"What's with you and late night breakfasts?" Angie laughed.
"I just love breakfast foods!" Annabelle exclaimed.
Everyone laughed.
I felt at home.
An actual home.
