A.N: Sorry for not updating in forever! As a consolation prize, have my crappy drawing of Kid in le dress!
Kid's P.O.V
I can't believe they got me to wear it. I think, tugging on the ends of my skirt. "Fuck you all." I glare at my 'friends', half an hour away from the start of the show.
"Gladly." Akira joked. "As long as you wear that dress."
I felt my face heat up. "You creep!"
"What?" He asked. "You look like a cute li'l girl in that.~" He laughed.
"Ugh... I hate you."
"So, Hitasu, how'd you get him to do it, anyway?" Soul asked.
"Oh, it was easy. I just threatened to invite Asura to the show." Hitasu replied.
"Who's that?" Soul questioned.
"My pain-in-the-ass older brother... A.K.A., the reason my parents kicked me out." I answered him.
"Your parents kicked you out?"
"Uh-huh. When I was sixteen, Asura got mad at me for not doing the dishes and decided to tell them that I had a boyfriend, that I was beaten up at school because of it, and that I was in a punk band with my nineteen and twenty year old friends. Then they told me to pack my bags and get out, because they wouldn't tolerate a 'sinner' in their Christian household."
Hitasu pulled Akira over and they both draped their arms around either side of Me. "And then he came to live with us!" Hitasu exclaimed excitedly. "Like one big, happy family."
"Stop touching meee...." I whined and pushed them off.
"...Way to ruin the 'happy family' vibe." Hitasu chuckled. "Guess we're more of a small, dysfunctional family."
"I'd say so..." I took a few steps away from him. "Besides, it's kinda weird being around any of you now that I know I'm shipped with you..." I turn to Hitasu. "Like, apparently one time you put your hand on my shoulder on stage, and that means we're in love, according to the fans."
Hitasu laughed. "So they'd probably freak out if there were pictures of us back in the days when you used to fall asleep on me?"
"I can't help it if you're warm!" I cross my arms. "Besides, heartbeats are comforting..."
"Aww... That's kinda adorable." Soul smiles at me.
"Oh, shut up." I snap. "I'm only going to be in stage for thirty-ish seconds in this, right?" I ask Hitasu.
"About that..." Hitasu smirks. "There's been a change of plans. We received permission to do a cover of a song I know you can't resist, so..."
"What?! No! I only agreed to a few seconds of this torture on stage!" I protest. Everybody else was giving looks like they already knew what song we were doing. "At least tell me what it is?" I beg.
"Don't worry, you know every word. I've heard you absentmindedly singing it before." He smirks. "And the rest of us already know what to play, so, let's get started, shall we?" He drags me out onto stage, and I'm instantly deafened by screeches.
Akira laughs and says to the fans, "Isn't he cute?" while Hitasu tries to get them to quiet to a normal screech instead of a mega-screech.
"Hit it, Soul!" He yells, and Soul begins with a single note on the keyboard. A G note.
My eyes widen as I look at the other band members. "You wouldn't dare..." I mutter. But, sure enough, Soul continues with the oh, so famous melody, and I can't keep myself from singing.
"When I was a young boy,
My father took me into the city
To see a marching band.He said, 'Son when you grow up,
Would you be the savior of the broken,
The beaten and the damned?'
He said 'Will you defeat them,
Your demons, and all the non-believers,
The plans that they have made?
Because one day I'll leave you,
A phantom to lead you in the summer,
To join The Black Parade.'When I was a young boy,
My father took me into the city
To see a marching band.
He said, 'Son when you grow up,
Would you be the saviour of the broken,
The beaten and the damned?'Sometimes I get the feeling she's watching over me.
And other times I feel like I should go.
And through it all, the rise and fall, the bodies in the streets.
And when you're gone we want you all to know. We'll carry on,
We'll carry on
And though you're dead and gone believe me
Your memory will carry on
We'll carry on
And in my heart I can't contain it
The anthem won't explain it.A world that sends you reeling from decimated dreams
Your misery and hate will kill us all.
So paint it black and take it back
Let's shout it loud and clear
Defiant to the end we hear the callTo carry on
We'll carry on
And though you're dead and gone believe me
Your memory will carry on
We'll carry on
And though you're broken and defeated
Your weary widow marchesOn and on we carry through the fears
Ooh oh ohhhh
Disappointed faces of your peers
Ooh oh ohhhh
Take a look at me cause I could not care at allDo or die, you'll never make me
Because the world will never take my heart
Go and try, you'll never break me
We want it all, we wanna play this part
I won't explain or say I'm sorry
I'm unashamed, I'm gonna show my scar
Give a cheer for all the broken
Listen here, because it's who we are
I'm just a man, I'm not a hero
Just a boy, who had to sing this song
I'm just a man, I'm not a hero
I
Don't
Care!We'll carry on
We'll carry on
And though you're dead and gone believe me
Your memory will carry on
You'll carry on
And though you're broken and defeated
Your weary widow marches onDo or die, you'll never make me
Because the world will never take my heart
Go and try, you'll never break me
We want it all, we wanna play this partDo or die, you'll never make me
Because the world will never take my heart
Go and try, you'll never break me
We want it all, we wanna play this part!"I finished the last line, out of breath and smiling. Gerard Way was probably my role model, if I ever had one, and to have the chance to sing his part in my favorite song, at a real concert... Fuck! I realized. That was almost five minutes on stage in this stupid dress! "Dammit!" I shout unexpectedly. "Hitasu, you're an evil genius. I'm gonna go change out of this disaster..."
I stormed off stage and heard Hitasu say to the crowd, "Unplanned intermission! Be right back!" as he and the others followed me.
I quickly ran into my dressing room, before they could catch up to me.
Third Person P.O.V
Akira elbowed Soul and whispered to him. "If you watch closely while he's running, sometimes he kicks up the skirt a little bit and you can get a glimpse of his ass." He chuckled.
"Wait, really?" Soul asked, and quickly found himself staring. Damn, he's got a nice ass...
A.N: YAY! Finally an update! Oh, and in case you live under a rock, the song used was Welcome to the Black Parade, by My Chemical romance. It's literally the song of my people, so if you haven't heard it before, listen to it NOW. RIGHT NOW. Why are you still here? Go!
