"Nay, kayo ang may kasalanan kung di kayo nag plano ni tatay di tayo mag hihirap!"

"Ano ba kwento nanay? Diba si Marcos nga ang pinaka magaling na Presidente, naging number 1 pa nga tayo dahil sa kanya eh!"

1965

Marcos was elected president of the Philippines, first few months was great, everything was great.

Ferdinand, made a lot changes agriculturally and physically. Filipinos were happy.

Then Marcos did something,
someone did. He changed. He made things look like the Philippines was mess, he made it look like that to have Martial Law.

1972 Martial law

Macros officially declared Martial law,  naalala ko pa non sabi ko sa tatay mo, buksan mo nga tv tas walang lumalabas.

Then the tv opened it flashed Marcos he said "The Philippines is now under Martial Law!".

First few months of Martial Law was great, Filipinos were more disciplined and happy. BUT! Marcos became corrupt, not only him but them.

They received almost 16BILLION DOLLARS from the US since Philippines and US were known friends.

US will give say something to Marcos, (e.g do this do that say this, etc) and Marcos will say Okay, but what will I GET? Then they give dollars.

Instead of giving the farmers more land to harvest or fixing some roads, he kept it, kept it in his pants.

Then their corruption slowly went under our skin. Since Filipinos now had to go overseas just to provide their family.

After Martial Law

Their house was explored. Imelda Marcos' room was filled with diamonds and expensive paintings and perfumes. Perfumes were not small they were BIG, it could be as big as a toddler or even bigger! There were sacks of diamonds! Imagine that, them diamonds were bought from our funds. Image how many farmers pr people will benefit from that if they used it for us?

"MA! They have their own life! They can't dedicate everything for us!"

"Thirdy! Can't you see it? That's OUR money Thirdy! Hanggang ngayon pinag aaral nga natin si Sandro eh. Alam ko graduate na siya pero mag aaral pa ata ulit."

"MA! NOBODY CARES!"

"Yan, yan! Ngayon, walang kayong mga pake sa mga Politics, sobrang gusto niyo na ng "Change". Hindi niyo alam na madugo ito. Masakit ito. Wala kayong mga pake sa realidad ng buhay. Pake niyo na lang ay ang perfect na kilay at babae na marunong mag luto."

"Bakit tayo dito napunta ma? Diba Marcos? STOP CHANGING THE SUBJECT!"

"Gusto mo ba talaga matapos yung story?"

"Opo!"

After Marcos left the Philippines we sooner realized that Marcos planned everything. He made the trouble just so he can declare Martial Law. We also realized it was caused with FEAR, everything starts with fear, fear of loosing that power and strength.

Thirdy, your father died protecting him even of your father didn't wanted. He saw everything, corruption, death everything! Your father died because of him and also your lolo.

Your lolo was buried ALIVE! Alive! It was so painful to see my Mother crying. Your lolo was innocent.
