Chapter 28

"We still need to talk." I reminded him.

"Okay, then let's talk."

Rachel's POV

Niall limped towards his bed and sat down. 

"So why do you want to talk?" 

"You scared me. With you getting shot. I felt like I couldn't breath. I could barely say anything when I heard the news." I loud out a heavy sigh. 

"What are you trying to say?" He asked me. I groaned then sat down next to him. 

"I have feelings for you." I finally said. I couldn't look him in the eyes when I said those words. I felt Niall grab my chin and gently pull my head up to look at him. 

"Don't look at me like that." I said turning my gaze away from him. He pulled my head back up. 

"I have feelings for you too. Ever since I saw you at that coffee shop." I couldn't help myself. I felt myself leaning in and I kissed him, of my own free will. WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME? I pulled away from him and we stared into each others eyes. Niall laid down on the bed letting out a groan every now and then. I laid next to him being cautious of his wound.

"I promise that I won't make you ever worry about me ever again." He told me. 

"It's hard not to worry." 

"How about this. Since I am injured I'm going to be off duty for a little while. I'll let Z run the gang for the next 2 months and during that time I will help you take care of Elizabeth." 

"You're willing to give up 2 months of no working?" I asked him. 

"Well he still has to keep me updated." 

"Fine you have a deal." 

"Kiss on it." I rolled my eyes and gave him a quick kiss. He pulled me back down and lengthened the kiss.

"Stop I have to go get Elizabeth." I told him. 

"She can wait." 

"No, but her daddy can." I told him getting up. 

"I like the sound of that." He winked at me. I hit his leg. 

"You were just shot. You will be getting none of that for a long time." He pouted at me. 

" I'll be back." I told him. I walked down to the living room where I left Perrie with the baby. 

"Hey i'm sorry for leaving her with you. I just need to check on him." 

"I understand, how's he doing?" Perrie asked me. 

" Doped up on pain killers." I honestly told her. 

"I've never seen him this relaxed." Perrie threw me a questionable look.

"I don't even know." I took Elizabeth from her.

"Good news, Niall has offered to help me with Elizabeth for the next 2 months." Perrie just let out a laugh. 

"I give him a month." She said laughing her way up the stairs. I rolled my eyes at her. 

"Your Aunt Perrie is crazy." 

Niall's POV

My bedroom now. I texted Zayn. He soon appeared in front of me.

"Where did you come from?" I asked him. 

"Those pain killers working for you?" 

"What pain killers?" I asked him. 

"Never mind. So what is it that you wanted to talk to me about?" He asked me.

"How did you know that I wanted to talk to you?" 

"You sent me a text demanding that I come to your room. Why else would I be here?"

"You make an excellent point." I paused.

"What was I talking about?" 

"You wanted to talk to me. And I am taking these" Zayn told me as he grabbed a pill bottle next to me.

"Right that was it. I am going to be taking the next 2 months off meaning that you are going to be in charge of the gang. But you must report to me." I looked at him and saw him trying to stop himself from laughing.

"What's so funny?" I asked him. 

"You taking off.....for 2 months. Ha. Good luck with that." 

"Listen here mister....I am fully capable off taking vacation." I said moving my injured arm. 

"Ow." 

"My point exactly." He said getting up and walking out of the room.

"Happy vacationing." He called out. I rolled my eyes.

"What was that all about?" Rachel asked me.

"Nothing. Just Zayn being a weirdo." 

"Okay, maybe you should rest. Take a nap or something." She offered to me.

"First of all gang leaders don't take naps they rest their eyes." I told her.

"Then rest your eyes for a while." I nodded then laid back down in the bed. I soon fell into a peaceful sleep.

I stuck to my promise. To some of you I may have updated a day late but where I live I am on time. Anyways I hope you guys enjoyed this chapter. If you did then tell me what part you guys liked in the comments. 

Now it is time for the announcements. 

#1. The reason why I haven't been updating so often is because I have been writing another book. It is not published but it is in the works. So be prepared to see a new book soon. 

#2. But I will not be publishing this new book until this book is finished. 

#3. That means that this book is coming to an end. I feel like it is a good time to end the book. Now I'm not just saying that because I have a new book. I think that there isn't much more I can write about. That also means there will be no sequel. Sorry :(

Now about the new book. The new book is a bit interesting. It is still a Niall fanfic but there is a twist. This book is a bit mature, but the good news about this new book is that it has some elements of this book. I hope you guys will enjoy it.
