Chapter 6: Unforgettable

Mara's P.O.V

   We arrived at the party and I was surprised  to see many people having fun and greeting me. I was surprised by their welcome. Until I saw two familiar faces running towards me, Chloe and Drake hugged me and gave me a humongous  flower bouquet which was lovely.

  "Thank you very much! It's Lovely. You shouldn't ha-" Chloe stopped me and hugged me again. She whispered, " You look gorgeous with your dress. Where did you get it?" I laughed at her question. "You gave it right?" I asked. She shakes her head saying no and I Iook towards Drake and he shakes his head no too. "Well, that's odd, who would give it?" Asking myself more than them.

"Ohh, someone has a secret admirer." Drake says teasing me. "I do not have a secret admirer!" I exclaimed. They both laughed and I looked at them with disbelief. The party went on and saw Erica dancing with some guy and  the other lovebirds, Chloe and Drake just having that nice time.

  I went outside to  breathe fresh air, it was pretty loud inside. As I was walking, my phone vibrated. I checked it and opened someone's message. The same number I who gave me the dress. "Go by the parking lot." I know this sounds ridiculous, but I wanted to know who it was.

Kevin's P.O.V

   I don't know anything about her yet. I do know that  I like her and I definitely do, the way she  gets mad is very cute. The way she sang is beautiful, the way she does things are just natural for her. I can't get her out of my mind. I got a text from my friend to go to a party , at first I didn't want to but when my friends told that it was for Mara and that her sister planned it, I couldn't say no.

  I got her number and it might be creepy, but I want to give her a present but in the same way not revealing what I feel for her yet. She might not really like me, the way we met and all but that doesn't leave me hoping she would.

  I ran very late to the party so I figured  to buy a cake to make it up and it's not like she knows I'm going, I want to surprise her. I texted her to come to the parking lot, I know she would come.

Mara's P.O.V

  I walked towards the parking lot and stopped as I saw a tall guy that looks like Kevin. I shove the thought away and saw that he was holding something. When I was about to walk again, he turned around. My heart  drops and I can feel myself  really surprised to see him. My heart beats fast and when he walked towards me I could feel myself heat. I was nervous.

  "Hey! You look wonderful!" He says. He looks at me and I smile. "Hey, what are-" He stops me and says, "I'm here for the uhm, party and I got a little late." I laughed. "You were a little late? Really little? Very funny." I said teasing him." Well, I got you this. Did you get my text?" He says. My eyes were wide. "You were the one who gave me this? It's your uhmm, number? Your the one who told me to go here?" I asked. He was smiling and then chuckling. He scratches his head and nods. I was blushing, I know I am.

  "Yes, I did give you that dress and it really is beautiful, only the dress." He says. Did he just come here just to tease me, what a guy! I am more irritated now after he compliments and takes it back. " Yeah right." I said. I made a face and laugh when he catched me. " This is for you." He says handling me a cake. "Oh, thanks. Could we just eat it here?" I say like a child. " Here? Won't we go inside?" He says while laughing.

   "I really don't want to be there yet, it's loud and all." I whine which causes him to smile. " Alright, let's celebrate here if you want." He says. I smile and nod. I really didn't expect that he would be here. We walked together and found a place to seat by the parking lot and settled there. He opened the cake and I saw the dedication written on the cake with purple icing: "Congratulations Ms. Whiny Girl!" I laughed so hard as I read it aloud.

   "Well, Thank you very much  Mr. I dont know who you are now." I say while giggling. He smirked and winked at me, it made me feel like I was floating through the air and then he comes close to me, " I think we should go back inside now. After all, it is your party." He says while waiting for my permission to walk with him. I nod and took his arm and went inside.

  The party went well and obviously, all eyes were on us when Kevin took me by surprise to dance. The music was slow but it's rhythm was just perfect as each melody of the song were dancing around us. Instantly I saw Chloe dancing with Drake, they look very wonderful together. I wish the song wouldn't end, I wish the music won't stop..I wish that we would stay like this. This day will be  unforgettable.
