Garnets POV

     When I was just calmly reading something on my laptop, I heard knocking from my window. "Zidane!" I said shockingly but quietly. I opened up the window and Zidane crawled into my room. "Make sure you're very quiet, ok?"  I asked Zidane. The family adopted me after my real mom died, my adoptive mom doesn't seem to like that I'm with Zidane. Zidane whispered ok and he showed me a box wrapped in blue wrapping paper with a purple bow. "What is in there Zidane?" He told me to open the box to find out.

     When I did, what was inside was a necklace! "It's beautiful Zidane!" He told me while putting the necklace on "Wait! It gets even better! Open it up!" When I did, it had a photo of me and Zidane together when we 1st became a couple! "So, do you like it?" Zidane asked me while trying to face me. "Like it? I LOVE IT! I'm so happy that you bought this for me. I love you Zidane." I was going to kiss him until...

    
    "Garnet, what are you doing in there?" My adopted older sister, Sue asked me. (A/N- Yes, yes, I know. The adoptive family is  NOT in FF9, but who would've been the obstacle course of Garnet and Zidane? Anyway, let's continue!) I started to panic. If Sue saw that Zidane is in here, I would've been in big trouble. "Uh, Zidane. Hide under my bed." When he did so, Sue went in. "How come you were in here? And mom wants to talk to you downstairs." I answered by saying "Just reading. And I'll go down there."

     When I heard that Sue walked away, I told Zidane "Ok, you have to go now. I love you so much Zidane." I kissed him on the cheek and I saw that he left with Blank following him. I then went downstairs.

     When I went downstairs, mom started up a conversation.

"Hello Garnet."

"Hi. What did you need?" I asked while trying to sound normal but I failed terribly.

"I want to know what happened with Zidane." She sounded angry.

"Nothing. He did absolutely nothing wrong."

"Don't hide stuff from me Garnet, you looked kinda blue when you got here."

"Ok, well. Zidane actually was just discussing something with Eiko and then she hugged him because Zidane was going to make me feel better."

"Is that the honest truth Garnet? I heard that Zidane is a--"

"That is the truth. Don't you like Zidane?"

"To be fair and honest, I don't like or trust Zidane." She had a stern look on her face. I looked at my left and I saw my younger adoptive sister named Tara creepily listening to our conversation. My step-mom can manipulate other people so Tara, Sue, and my baby step-sister named Rhodah must think Zidane is as evil as Kuja or something like that.

"Wait! Zidane didn't do anything like that! And he feels bad."

"Garnet, I heard that he's a womanizer and he had 100000000 girlfriends."

"No, that's false. Zidane said that he never flirted with Eiko or any other girl. He only likes me and me only."

"But he still flir--"

"He's a teenager."

"But he's too young to flirt like that. I don't think he's good for you."

"Zidanes my boyfriend!"

"What did you say?" She got furious at me.

"Please, just, trust him!"

"Give me your phone, I'm blocking Zidane from any communication to you."

"No! That's not fair!"

"I took you in when your real mom died! Zidane is a poor choice for romance. Maybe you should love someone like Noctis."

"But--" I was going to say something but I was lost in words.

"He's a prince, tough, protects his own kingdom, and doesn't constantly flirt with various girls AND he isn't a theif!"

"He is 20 years old!"

"So what? That's a lame excuse and I rather you love someone like Noctis but none of them from dawn to dusk will never ever be Zidane, ok?" She gave me my phone back.

"Yes." I take my phone and ran back to my room while feeling the verge of tears.

This isn't cool. She and the others doesn't see that Zidane is charming and nice. How much Zidane has gone through. I'm going to love him, no matter what.
