ABTCG Chapter 3

•*•*•*•*•*•*•*•*•{Y/n}'s POV•*•*•*•*•*•*•*•*•

I could kind of hear noise from. . .something. I don't know what but, this dream I'm having is really nice. I have a sibling and parents. We were driving through the city. Or was it a town? I'm not sure. Oh! And look there's Michel! He's so nice, he makes the best p-

"Hey! (Y/n)! Get up! Come on," and just like that it's over. I realized that Abi was waking me up.

"Yeah, yeah. What time is it?" I questioned her while rubbing my crusty eyelids. I had to squint however due to the bright sunlight coming in from the window.

"Bout' 7:30-ish. Why?" Oh shit! I don't know when I'm suppose to be picked up. I never asked Mr.Ribs yesterday.

"Nevermind. It doesn't matter. Is Mr.Ribordy up yet? I need to ask him something." Oh god, what if they're here right now?! I'd look so lazy and irresponsible they'd never want to keep me!

"Uh, yeah he's making breakfast. Sent me to come get you. So go get dressed and come downstairs. K?"

"K," I nodded to signal that she could leave and went over to my bag. Sifting through my clothes I found something comfortable. I grabbed them and got changed. Once I was down I headed downstairs.

While I walked down the staircase I ran my hand along the railing. It's strange how I might not ever see this place again. I mean it'll be nice to get away from the bullies and stuff but, this place has always been. Home. Whenever I got kicked out of another home this place has always been there to save my butt. Like we could make an insurance company out of this place.

*sigh*

"But that takes away the fun I guess." I mumbled taking the corner. Looking around I spotted Mr. Ribordy and his cheesy apron on that said 'Don't play stupid with me I'm batter at it'. He was currently whisking some scrambled eggs. He glanced at me and smiled.

"Well I see you're up. Did Abi wake you up alright?"

"Yeah. She was okay." Bastard could've been a bit gentler. But, eh who cares right? I do. Maybe.

"Want anything to drink?"

"(F/d) please."

"Alright-eo. (F/d) coming right up. Any eggs with that?" Oh my god did he just ask if I wanted eggs? Like you're gonna make them and the just eat em' yourself? No offense but that's way to many for you to eat old man.

"Pfft. Yea."

"Okay, okay. No need to sass me sassy-Mc-sasserton."

"Maybe there was eggy-Mc-eggerton."

"Whatever. Here's you food, silly." He put down my plate and drink with a chuckle and grabbed his own. Placing it next to mine.

<{<{<{<{<{<{<{<{<{Short time skip}>}>}>}>}>}>}>}>}>}>

"Hello?" I heard a feminine voice. It sounded like one of the ladies from yesterday. The tallest one I think.

"Ahh! Ahh! Yes! I'm right here don't fret!" You say that when you're the one doing it.

"Of course. Yes. Well, I'm here to pick up (Y/n). Where is she?" Wait she's picking me up! Oh my god. This is the best! Wait what time is it? Oh, it's 8. Guess 30 minuets goes by quickly when you're eating.

"(Y/N)! Go grab your stuff, Garnet's here to take you to your new home." He called me from the other room.

"Okay be back in a sec!" I shouted before I sprinted up the stairs at full speed almost tripping on the way up. Sliding into my room I took a look around one more time. "Wow. I guess I'm finally leaving this place huh? Lived here for 13 years and never once thought I'd leave." I slung my bag over my shoulder and ran back towards the stairs. Flinging myself down them I stumbled near the bottom and fell forwards. I expected the hard wood floor to hit my face and for pain to seep all over it.

And that's exactly what happened.

"Owwww. . .~"

"Oops. Wrong path." I thought I heard Garnet mumble something.

"Hmm?" Guess not. Anyway. "Welp. I've got my bag and I'm ready to go. Thank you Mr. Ribordy,"I gave him a big hug,"for everything."

"Of course. It's my job. And you know you're like a daughter to me. Good luck squirt." He smiled at me and I thought I was gonna cry.

"Ready?" I heard her say.

"Yeah. Let's go!"

So apparently Garnet doesn't drive. This man named Greg did. He was nice. But to be honest he looked kinda like a hobo. By the time he had finished telling me about his newest album cover we had reached a beach.

"Well kid we're here. This is your new home. I guess." I was left at a loss for words. It was beautiful, and pretty, and calm, and cool, and awesome, and-everything all at the same time!

"So what'do ya' think?"

"It's-I. . ." Again word fail me," I love it. I love it! Oh my god it's everything I could've wished for and more!" The statue for sure looks so gorgeous.

Garnet looked over at me and spoke. "Well what are you waiting for? Come see the inside."

I grabbed my bag from the back of the van and followed her up the stairs. She opened the screen door and-

"Heya! Names Smokey Quartz!"

A/N:
So leaving it off on that note I have nothing much to say. This chapter was bigger than my previous 2 so consider it a special treat since I'll be gone. School it comic up in a week for me so updates are going to become way less frequent on all my stories (as if they weren't already to begin with). But I have some ideas planned for this story so I hope I can get the next chapter out eventually. Also with that Garnet part where you fall down the stairs I always see people do her fusion vision having her catch you. So I thought 'lets be more realistic Garnets future vision isn't always 100% accurate' so that happen. Anyways. Until then later!

*For those of you who don't know what commissions are.
Commissions are when a customer or client (either one depends on the artist) asks an artist to make them a piece of work. However this does come with a set of adjustable prices to it. The prices vary depending on several things:

1. Skill of the artist
2. Size or quantity of the piece(s) being made
3. What is included with the piece(s). i.e. Backgrounds, colour, shading, stuff like that
4. Time taken (some artists lower prices if the original time said to have gotten the piece(s) done is delayed for any reason)
