Slowly I came to consciousness that I was awake. Letting out a big sigh I turned over on the couch and shoved my face back into the pillow I was sleeping on.
"Oh! (Y/n), you're awake!" I could hear Steven as he rushed over to me and leaned over the scrunched form of my body. Groaning I curled tighter into a ball and hoped he thought I was still asleep.
"Hey? Are you gonna get up?" He poked my face as he asked about my current state. Finally giving in I looked back at him.
"Steven what do ya' want?" I could see his eyes visibly turn to stars as his face beamed with happiness. Fuck it's too early for this.
"Well the Gems left earlier while you were still asleep to take care of some. . .stuff." Stuff huh? "And I was wondering if you wanted to go get something to eat at the Big Donut." I raised an eyebrow at him. "I-if not that's okay. . .I just wanted to get to know you more. Since you know, you're gonna be living here for the rest of your life."
And so we left to head to the Big Donut. Steven talked the whole way.
What a way to start my morning.
Just a short chapter before I post the second one later. Sorry for the long delay. I had completely forgotten about this book's existence for a while until my friend had reminded me to update it.
