The Move

I'm back! Kinda. I'm glad to see so many people are enjoying this book. Sorry about the long delays between updates though.. Anyway, enjoy the new chapter!

I watched in wonder and curiosity as we walked along the streets of the town looking for clothing stores. The air smelled of fresh pretzels and popcorn. Nai bounced from window to window in excitement. A giggle left my lips, my eyes trying to keep up with his energy. 

"So where to first?" I glanced back at the two guys behind me. 

They had a quick look of panic as they hadn't planned anything beforehand. 

"Let's go in here!" Nai grabbed my hand and pulled me into a bright little store. 

Nai helped me choose clothes while Gareki and Yogi just sat am watched. Nai pulled this cute little sky blue dress and threw it at me before pushing me into a changing room. 

I heard Gareki mumble something about Nai being surprisingly authoritative.  The dress fell just above my knees and seemed seamless. It loosely hung around my body but still accented my curves in a way. 

I poked my head out from the door and looked at the expecting faces. "I-It fits fine and is comfy..."

They gave me a blank look and Nai just pouted.

"Show ussssss" He whined.

I sighed and stepped out, a small blush creeping to my face. They gasped and Nai just kept going about it looking great. 

We bought it and more clothes and little necessities. By the time we were heading back home it was dark out. 

"Thank you guys..." 

Yogi smiled down at me and just replied "Don't worry about it. Haruto's the one who payed."

He opened the door just as I smiled and shook my head. 

"Not for the shopping but for everything... Even after what happened." 

Gareki lifted my chin with his index finger and leaned close. I could practically feel his breath on my lips before he flicked my forehead with his other hand and smirked letting go of me.

I rubbed my head and pouted. "What was that for?"

"Don't thank us for doing our job. We're your friends, how could we leave you like that?" 

Yogi and Nai nodded in agreement. 

"But..." Gareki continued before walking to a door, "If you really want to thank us, you can make dinner tonight." 

I laughed. "I can't cook much."

"Then cook what you can and ask for help if you need it." He smiled and opened the door and we walked in.

My mouth fell open and I dropped my bags staring at the room in front of me. It had a complete furniture set with a bed, dresser, desk, etc. The walls were painted a gorgeous maroon and the floor was covered in bamboo. The bed itself had a black frame and a royal blue cover. 

I looked up at the guys, tears in my eyes. "Is this mine?" 

They looked panicked as they nodded and tied to comfort me. I wrapped my arms around all of them saying thank you repeatedly. 

Gareki smiled and patted my head and Nai nestled his head onto my shoulder. 

They left so I could unpack everything and get settled in. I put my clothes away and felt my stomach grumble.

"Guess I can start dinner now." 

I walked out towards the kitchen and passed the tv room where Nai and Yogi were laying on the couch asleep. I smiled and kept walking to the kitchen where Gareki stood looking out the window. Me being the jerk I am, I decided to sneak up behind and poke his sides. He jumped and quickly kicked my legs out from underneath me and pinned me to the ground faster than I could think. My hair was spread everywhere and his hands gripped my wrists.

His eyes stared at me as if he was in a daze and my face burned. "What were you doing? I could've hurt you idiot." 

I gave a small smile. "I know you would never hurt me."

He sighed and I hadn't even noticed his face was getting closer to mine until his lips were almost touching mine.
