What You Have Left Behind

Oh thy cobalt
Oh thy sin
When will I ever find the treasure within?
Beneath that rock is a shining star
Its smile radiating towards me – even from afar

Countless nights I've spent away
with dreams sunk in wheat and hay
It's difficult to tell when I will see
that treasure you have already laid out for me

Dreams shattered just beneath my feet
Your crown breaking underneath
A drop of red liquid that signals
the wilting of flowers detrimental

And like your sudden demise
the snake bites me
That even the gentle mice
could remember your soft-spoken promise

"Oh, sweet flower,
so sweet yet bitterly sour
I am here to bring about
The truth hidden within this tower."

"I once carved beneath
the traces fleeting underneath;
my sickening plant has covered
something which I cannot devour."

Fire
Uncanny feeling
Catastrophe lies threatening
Kills the dauntless
Young and helpless
On the shallow reign of hatred
Untimely passing whilst wearing
Sickly sweet smiles amongst the burden
Outcasts the weak, distasteful
Chastisement may never be eluded
Instinct speaks to let it be
As another way to rid the pain
Never more shall it be gone

I was heart broken

I saw you happy with another girl
