I was running for what seemed like forever. I heard the footsteps right behind me and sometimes a hand would touch my shoulder. Tears were flooding out of my eyes and sobs were coming out of my mouth. Finally, I heard the footsteps come to a stop and run in the opposite direction. To be safe, I ducked into a bush and made my breathes short and shallow so no one heard me. I must've fallen asleep. The dream was replaying in my head. The one with the killer. I woke up screaming.
                  "AAAAHHHHH", I yelled out.
Shit, they probably heard me.
I got up and started walking around. The dead winter leaves were crackling under my feet. Me and my sister always used to make piles of them and play for hours.
I started crying again. My sister. I'll never see her again. Hot tears were pouring down my face. I sniffled and wiped them away. I tripped over a rock and fell down. I landed face first on a rock.
A burning pain shot through my cheek as it pierced through. Blood splattered onto the ground. I got off and held my cheek, my eyes squinted shut. I was screaming with my hand over my mouth, muffling my screams. I had to find something to stop the blood. I looked in my backpack, seeing if there was something that could help that I didn't see. I looked through. There was a pocket in the back that I never noticed before. There was something in it. I pulled out a red box that had a large crack through the middle. I read the letters on the front.
First Aid Kit
I opened up the box and supplies spilled out. There weren't many supplies left, but it was enough. I took out some rubbing alcohol to clean it. I took out a cotton swab and poured the alcohol on it. Before I put it on my face, I pressed my hand down harder on my mouth. I placed the swab on my cheek and a scream escaped my lips. Rubbing alchohol ran down my face and dripped onto the ground. I took the swab off, my hand shaking. My eyesight was blurry and I could barely see anything. I shoved my hand into the first aid kit. I felt around until I found a small box. I opened it with my free hand and took a big bandage out. I took my other hand off of my face and took it out of the package. I peeled it off of the paper and stuck it on my face. I wiped the tears off of my face and put everything back in the backpack. I used a skinny, withered tree to get me to my feet. I turned around and made sure no one was behind me. I found a big bush. I crawled inside, the branches causing little scratches on my arms. I carved out the inside and laid on my back. I closed my eyes and soon drifted to sleep.
