Our Time

Chapter 1

I hopped out of my mom's new car and I quickly became aware of my surroundings. I was standing in my school's parking lot. Up ahead towards the gym I heard loud chatter. The quad was filled with excited freshman eagar to find their classes. Speaking of classes. I pulled out my schedule from my backpack and looked down at it.

AP English

AP English was my first period of the day. Folding my schedule and putting into my pocket, a familiar voice called out to me. I looked up from the right pocket of my shorts I saw my old Biology partner. "Oh my god!" She screamed as she ran up to me. "Who are you? and what did you do to my bestie Ash!?" She continued to scream. Oh yeah did I forget to mention that she's my best friend also. "It's nice to see you too Bella" I giggled. "Wow you.... I" Bella was speechless. Which is pretty weird because she's always talking and screaming. I gave Bella a big hug and motioned her to follow me to my first class. "I think this is the first time i'm actually speechless" Bella said as I held onto her wrist keeping her from walking too fast for my speed. "Why didn't you turned so gorgeous oh my gosh" Bella stopped for a minute. "I wanted to suprise you" I smiled. "Well I'm so happy for you" Bella gave me a big bear hug. "Oh look there's Julianna" Bella did some weird head motion. Julianna was the one of the MANY girls that had bullied me last year and my FRESHMAN year because I didn't look like all of the other girls. I was chubby,had glasses,and I had so MUCH acne. I mean who wouldn't like me?. "Let's go give her a taste of her own medicine" Bella struted past me. "Bella no" I called out. She turned around and asked "Why?". "I forgive her" I smiled. "Are you serious? Do you remember that time she made you cry?" Bella walked back over to me. "Yes I do but im willing to forgive but I haven't forgetten about all the things she's done" I explained. "Fine" Bella rolled her eyes.

So on my way to my first class I've gotten nothing but stares. From guys and girls. "Oh my gosh he's cute" Bella pointed toward a freshman who seemed to be confused. "Aren't you dating that one football player?" I crossed my arms. "We broke up a summer ago byeee" Bella giggled as she walked off to greet the freshman. Bella always dated and hung out with the hot guys. One time Bella tried asking her group of popular friends If I could hang with them and they all made up excuses just to not even be near me. Bella found me at my darkest point. Shoot if it weren'for her I probably wouldn't be here anymore.

Bella had found me in one of the bathroom stalls balling my eyes out.

As I came close to my English class I heard some people singing from a distance. I walked off in search for the sound. And what it lead me to was the band room. I took a quick peek into the room and before my eyes stood a boy in a with a cast on his leg,a girl with aqua colored hair and a piercing,a geek, and one of the dancers from the hip hop club. Oh this is the Glee Club I thought as  one of the members noticed me. I then rushed off my class as the tardy bell rang. I've always wanted to join the glee club ever since my freshman year but I never had the courage to get up off my feet and talk to the coach of the club.

As I entered my first period the students all stared at me and one of the boy's whistled. "Hi. Are you Mrs.Smith?" I asked as I looked down at my schedule. "What's your name sweetie?" The teacher asked as she looked down at her clipboard. "Ashleigh" I responded. "Ashleigh?!" I heard one of the students whisper to another. "Oh you sit over there" she smiled as she pointed towards the seat by the window in the back row on the left. I smiled and walked over the seat and sat down.

As the day went on it was finally time for lunch. I stood in the line as long as a giraffe's neck and I noticed a somewhat tall guy in front of me. I looked over at the side of his face and gasped. It was the guy I was totally crushing on my freshman year. I sat right next to him Spanish my freshman year. I poked his shoulder and said "Hey Liam". "Ashleigh?!" he shouted. "Hey" I smiled. He wrapped his arms around me and gave me a big hug. Liam Breckett is a junior who play's on the football team. He was a Sophmore the first time I met and I was a Fresman. He got held back so he had to re-do his Sophmore year. So now he's a junior with me. "Wow you look so different" He smiled. "Well people change" I smiled. Liam and I had an okay relationship these past two years. I tutored him in Spanish and protected me from all the bullies. I liked him but I never had the courage to confess my feelings for him.

Shortly after Liam and I ate our lunch and talked for quite a while.

I was getting ready to head out of my last period of the day when the boy from the glee club that noticed me came over to me. "Hey I couldn't help but notice that you were checking us out earlier this morning. "Oh yeah sorry If I cree-" I said. But I couldn't finish what I was saying because he cut me off with "Would you like to audition right now?".
