Author's Note: Last update until either a major or minor hiatus, it all depends on when I have the time to write.

I had a sleepless night. I didn't know what time it was when I fell asleep, nor when I woke up—there was no clock. I was hungry so I walked across the dark room as best as I could without bumping into anything, and turned on the light. At first it was incredibly bright, almost blinding, as my eyes had gotten used to the dark. As soon as my eyes adjusted, I decided to go get food. I opened my door, but then I remembered the button the doctor gave me.

I decided against using the button, and went on ahead, the small rusty knife I'd found in the previous hospital was tucked away in my pocket, just in case. I tried to navigate through the halls. My best guess of the time would've been around 3AM. A shadow darted across the almost spotless white wall. I reached for my pocket, but the shadow was gone before I could pull the knife out. I continued onward.

I turned a myriad of hallways before I found the kitchen. It was as dark as ever, but I couldn't shake the feeling of being watched. I searched the wall for a light switch, and found one at long last. I switched the lights on, but the lightbulb began flickering as I reached for a discarded muffin. The light suddenly died with a flash of light. I felt the presence again.

"H-Hello?" I darted my eyes around, trying to get accustomed to the sudden darkness. I felt someone breathing down by back, but it was silent. I slowly reached for my knife. The rest is a blur. I remember running away, and the presence thankfully didn't follow me. I remember running through the dark halls, my hands feeling wet, but drying as I accelerated my speed. I finally got to my room.
