How does it feel inside;
Inside that tight cage of yours?
How does it within ride;
Ride that muzzled are your roars?
You’re not lone I see, there’s half the world,
Your friends, some kin
Lots of company,
'The obscure benign chains which pin'
But have single mindsets drilled in, no diversity
All the same, all the like, molds you by conformity
A common prisoner, I’d say..
Speak if it’s not so!
Oh wait, opinions? You have none,
Locked down long ago
While I remain outside;
Outside free to think, to act
While this mind wonders wide, not captive, not bound, not cracked
Instead seeking new thoughts, new ways,
Establishing my own place
Out here no labeled slots, no guards,
Only passion fields that race
This freedom, this feeling,
That I wish to all was known
Shadowed, though it ought not be,
'The secret a precious stone'
Should I tell you? Engage you? Free you?
Let slip what’s true?
Perhaps I will, perhaps I will not,
Yet, if I do…
Will you fit Their design,
Again take Their said mention?
Will you fall into line,
Good pet,
Or will you question?
Then come nearer, lean close,
Strain your ears against those bars
Though They’ll protest, oppose,
That petty scorn is not ours
Just focus, ignore that which stalls, simply heed my lips:
Those steel restraints?
Ghoul muscled halls?
Your clouded optics?
Imagined Figments.
Makeshift Keepers.
False Adhesives.
All self-constructed, built to catch your life's top'ling pieces
How can you not know?
Common sense, open your eyes!
How can you not know?
That you’re the fence, the fastened ties!
Mother failed, father hurt, luck ran out, left bare coffers
Dearest bailed, dropped from work, too many empty offers
So you took bitter nails,
Solid planks of bigotry
Tough rods of ignorance,
And the greatest tragedy?
Without hesitations, cast yourself into your jail
Fashioned up air wardens,
Phantom causers of your wail
Do you see it now, better yet, do you see it not?
Do you understand, comprehend what your fear’s begot?
Yes, the world is scary,
'Frightens me too I’ll admit
As if we’re hickory, and it the bellowing pit'
But in, like clay, we glaze,
Glistening from sleek grandeur
Sigh.. Although mind aroused,
You still remain unsure
Such large concepts, your swamped,
Now you push me from the gate
Fine, okay, I’ll leave prompt,
This curiosity but sate
For who am I to push? None to point,
Unjustly peer
And who am I to whine? For you’re in there,
And I out here
