I lead them further into the depts of the Asylum, with my usual confidence. When I came by, people usually continued normally what they were doing, and if they had something to ask, they'd come to the bars. None of them would ever hide out in back of their cells, not even if there were cops passing. So the fact that they all were, looking away, did have me wonder what was going on. Even deeper in the centre. Everyone was afraid. I would ask Jotkins at the same time then my other questions, it'd be easier. Only, when I arrived to his cell, it was empty. I barely had to push for his door to open. It was covered in colourful powder. It didn't even take me a second to imagine the worst.

Ah shit... I said. Jotkins? Jotkins!

The lights turned out and there was a terrible laugh. Her.

Give him back to me! I screamed, furious. Give him back! I swear I'm gonna have you pay for this!

She laughed again. And I screamed.

And what are you gonna do? I'm on the winning team, after all. Jokey had you a VIP ticket, but you simply gave it away. Now, I'm going to rule the world!

Her voice came from everywhere. The emergency lights where as terrible as always. And I'm guessing she didn't knew that when we closed the lights - contrarily to fucking with the electricity - it was even worse. She probably didn't know that I knew this place by heart either. All I had to do, was play the game.

Where are you? Do you think this is fair? What are the chances? It's dark, and big...

She laughed again. The sound came originally from the left, so I went right.

You have no chances of beating me...

Not fair! I snapped back, with a touch of desperation. Just give him back and we can talk!

Oh-oh-oh! Well you do care for him after all, don't you? Didn't believe it when I was told so at first, but hey, everybody makes mistakes.

I ran completely in the opposite direction of the voice. And at a turn, there he was. Jotkins.

Jotkins! Oh my god you're alright! I said, as I came to run to him.

Queen, don't! he stopped me, which had me immobilize at the second. There was fear, despair and sadness in his tone. Fear, despair and sadness? She...she got in my head... I... I...

Crap, he was loosing it. He was the strongest one in my circle. The only one that had a weakness.

You better run! he warned me. I don't know if I can control it...

No! I said, stepping forward.

But you must! outraged Jotkins.

Never! I snapped. You will never see me walking away on you Jotkins, do you hear me? Never!

He grounded, which did scare me a bit. I took another step, and he was now only a few steps away. I could see it click in his eyes when he lost it. I could always see it. Only this time, there would be nothing I could possibly say to bring him back on track. So as he struck out, completely out of mind, I let myself fall to knees, in a submitted position. That had him stop straight in front of me, giving him second thoughts. Because I would never do that. He fell on his knees in front of me, wrapped me with his arms and held me close. I always had been son comfortable in his embrace that I never had been able to help myself but to hug him back - this time was no different.

But the game wasn't over.

Well, well, well, what do we have here?

There was a gun trigger and I could feel Jotkins freeze as I did.

She had a gun.
