It was the night after our huge fight with Natalie, and I couldn't sleep until 1:30 last night. We almost never fought. If we did it wouldn't be as big as the one we had yesterday. What if Sarah wasn't over exaggerating!!! Maybe she was right!!!
"What do you want Sarah?" I answered the phone "Whatever it is do you have to say it at 5:30 in the morning?"
"Hello? Nikki?" Sarah asked
"Yeah I'm here. Now what do you want to talk to me so badly that you have to call me at 5:30?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!"
"I think that I wasn't over exaggerating about Natalie!!! I think she doesn't like us, but not only that, she is ditching us for cooler friends."
"I don't know about the 'ditching us for cooler friends' part, I was thinking the same thing about you being right!"
"I know right???"
"But I still cannot believe that you guys got into that huge fight!!! I mean, we hardly ever fight."
"I know. I'm so sad the we got into a fight yesterday though."
"Anyway, I'm going to go back to sleep."
"Ok, bye!"
"Bye, call you later"
I hung up and went to bed.
I woke up to the sound of my phone ringing. Ugh not again I thought. I look at the caller ID. It's Natalie.
"Hello? Natalie?" I groggily answered.
"Yeah its me." She answered. "I don't now how to say this but I lied."
That shook me out of my sleepy state. "About what?"
"I didn't have dance class yesterday."
"Yeah, I know. You said it was canceled.'
"I didn't have dance class at all. I was going to go over to Pearl's house then it was canceled."
"Ugh Pearl? Really?" We never liked her, she never liked us. So we stayed out of each other's way. I felt her glaring through the phone. "Ok. Sorry."
"She's my friend. Why would you say things like that?"
" I said I was sorry. Its just me and Sarah never liked her."
"Ok, so now I need your guys' approval of all my friends?"
"No, that's not what I said. Please Natalie I don't want to get in a fight."
"That's what you meant though. I'm also friends with Jade, Tuyet, Balbina, Lily. So sue me." So that proves Sarah's theory right.
"Natalie come on I told you I don't want to get in a fight."
"Then you shouldn't of said that I need your approval of friends!"
"Natalie I didn't say that and you know that! Are you trying to fight with me?"
"No, you said those things, and I'm just disagreeing with you. I thought that calling you would be better that calling Sarah because she would just try to fight with me. Clearly I was wrong."
Before I could say anything else, she hung up. I sat there speechless. I couldn't believe that Natalie just did that. I feel sad and confused and wondering why we could just be great friends one day then the next day all nasty. I took a moment to gather my thoughts, before calling Sarah and telling her all about it.
