2 - Getting to know each other

7:30 am, Saturday, Nadine's house.

*text message*

James: Good Morning! How was your first week of school?

Nadine: It was fine I guess.

James: Ha? Why?!? You didn't enjoyed it ba?

Nadine: No naman kaso it's kind of weird that I only know you and Liza sa school.

James: Well... Then I guess we could watch a movie with my friends. Para makilala mo sila. Invite Liza too!

Nadine: Teka, is Mr. Robert James Reid asking me out on a date?

James: Maybe? 😉

Nadine: Hahahaha! Okay I'll
come and I'll ask Liza if she can come rin.

James: So, I guess it's a date?

Nadine: It's a date. ❤️🙈

4:00pm; Movie arcade

Nadine and James were playing at the claw machine, while Liza was taking pictures of herself sa photobooth. While posing hindi nakita ni Liza na may lalake sa likod. Liza kept posing and posing hanggang sa nahulog niya amg purse niya. So she tried reaching it until she fell down and hit the guy. That guy turns out to be,

Liza: "Enrique?!?" sabi niya.

Enrique: "You again? Clumsy?"

Liza: *replies sarcastically* "Ay hindi. Hindi ako yun. Ibang tao yun."

Enrique: "What are you doing here?"

Liza: "Malamang manonood ng sine ano pa ba?" she laughed.

Enrique pointed at the bench in front of them, letting Liza know that they should sit there. Liza was surprised na gentleman pala itong si Enrique.

Liza: "Aba. Mabait pala tong si Dumby eh."

Enrique: "I'm only rude and mean when it comes to school," he explained, "doon kasi nagtatrabaho dad ko and since he's always busy I want him na manotice niya ako. At least."

Liza: "Kaya ka laging troublemaker?" she asked, "Alam mo di mo naman kelangan maging troublemaker para manotice ka ng dad mo eh. Just do good sa school and I'm sure magiging proud siya sa iyo."

Enrique smiled at her because no one actually said nice things to him before. Yung dad niya ganun din yung advice na binibigay pero in a bad tone which makes him really mad at his dad.

Enrique: "Thanks." he said, "Ikaw lang mag isa dito? Wala kang kasama?"

Liza: "Actually kasama ko si Nadine, my best friend and James."

Enrique: "James?" he asked angrily.

Liza: "Oo. As a matter of fact papunta na pala sila dito oh." *points at them*

Nadine: "Hopieee!" she shouted and asked for a hug.

James: "Ten years ba kayo hindi nagkita?" he laughed.

They all laughed except for one, Enrique. He even told them to stop the fun and go to the movie theatre so that they wouldn't miss any parts of the movie. It wasn't because he was "KJ" but he didn't want anyone to see James and him na magkasama. "Liza, let's get some popcorn and some drinks?" he asked him.

Liza: "Uh. Sure" and they ran to the popcorn machine.

On the other hand, Nadine didn't know why Enrique was like that. So he asked James what's wrong with him and he said, "My daddy Malcolm, who owns the school, and his dad likes me better than Enrique. I think he's just upset because his dad does not appreciate him."

Nadine just nodded and they started walking to the theatre.

Nadine and James were sitting in front of the cinema while Enrique and Liza were sitting at the back. They were watching a horror movie so of course the girls couldn't help but get scared and "hug" the boys. Liza was literally hiding at the back of Enrique while Nadine's head was resting on James' arms.

The four basically experienced a date. Double date to be exact.

8:30 pm; Liza's house

Enrique's driver dropped off Liza to her house since Liza didn't want to ride a taxi or any jeepney because she's afraid someone might kidnap her or something. While in the car, Enrique and Liza were talking about their likes and dislikes. They got along very well. But of course every conversation has to have an end.

Liza: "Andito na pala tayo. Sige. Kitakits na lang sa Monday."

Enrique: "Okay, bye" he leaned towards her and kissed her on her cheeks. Liza was surprised because it's the first time that a guy would do that to her.

Everything was silent for a minute.

Liza: "Sige na. Bye."

Enrique: "Bye."

8:40 pm, Nadine's house

Nadine noticed that James looked so tired since they also went around the mall after the movie so she offered him to go inside her house.

Nadine: "Hey. Uh. Gusto mo pumasok muna sa bahay ko?" she offered.

James: "Sure." he smiled.

After ilang minutes James finally decided to go home. And surprisingly, he asked for a picture with Nadine.

James: "I'll post this on IG if that's okay with you."

Nadine: "Okay lang."

James: "Sige. I'll go ahead."

Nadine: "Sure bye!"
