Cami

"Ohmygosh you'll never guess what tomorrow is," Cami almost shouted at her best friend, Sydney, as they walked through the busy hallway to fifth period geometry.

"Hm, let me guess. Your sixteenth birthday?  You've only mentioned it a thousand times."

"Who do you think it is? I hope its that cute guy who sits behind you in algebra."

"Eww, Adam? He's a total jerk. Stay away from him."

The two girls parted as they entered the classroom and prepared for a long, stressful test.

-

After the test, the students were able to leave the class early and head to lunch.

"So, you do realize that your match might not attend this school. He could live in a different state. Heck, he could even live in a different country," Sydney swatted down Cami's hopes of her match being Sydney's ex boyfriend of seven months, Adam.

"Oh my, I never thought about that. I can't wait!"

"Cami, you might be on a different continent for a week! What if something happens?" Sydney rationalized with her friend.

"Oh, boohoo. I'll be fine. Its not like I'm going to do anything illegal," Cami stated.

"Think, Cami. You won't realize anything is different. You become him. You won't remember anything! You know what? I'll write you a note! You can hold it when you go to bed tonight. It might go with you!"

So thats exactly what she did. During sixth period, Sydney wrote this note:

"Hey, uhm, whoever this is. I'm Sydney and chances are, if you're reading this, you are my best friends soul mate. Write your full name down on this piece of paper and a generalisation of where you live and keep it with you at all times for the next week. Thanks."

On the way out of class, Sydney scoured for Cami in the halls. They didn't have anymore classes together after this and the note was mandatory. When she finally found Cami in the mass of people,  she handed her the note and they went on their ways.

When Cami got home, she immediately changed in her pajamas and hugged the note to her chest. The sooner she fell asleep, the less time she would have to think about who her match is.
