Time Escape

Walking to find Tatia is exhausting. "I'm tired and hungry when will we get to Tatia's house?" Brody asks while walking slow like a robot low on fuel. "I don't know. Look there's a little cafe. Why is it in the middle of nowhere?" I say while pointing to it. Brody and I walk into the little cafe and people are talking and drinking mysterious green liquid. "Ey newcomers! I've never seen y'all before,y'all must be from out of town."said a guy from behind the counter with an American accent.

"Yes we are actually and we're really hungry and thirsty. Where may we get a seat?" I ask very politely. "Anywhere you want sugar, a waiter will be right with you soon." We take a seat and talk more about Tatia. "Not a lot of clues to work with but we can find more on the way. These sugar packets are fun to play with." Brody says while trying to make a castle out of them. "Hello cuties I'm Tatia welcome to Chucks Dine In,how may I help you tonight?" Brody and I look at each other with surprise.

"Yes do you know Kai and Lena Parker?" I whisper softly. I can tell we triggered something by the facial expressions she made. "Follow me now!" Tatia whispers while tugging us to get up. We follow her towards the restrooms but then turn towards a blue door. "Come in here and I will tell you what I know about Kai and Lena Parker." We walk in quietly and the room has pictures of my parents and other papers. "Wow what is this place? It's so mysterious and creepy. Woah what is that?" Brody asks while about to touch a metal object. "DON'T TOUCH THAT!! That is an invention I am creating." "What's it for?" said Brody while looking at invention.

"I was really close with them so I'm trying to find Dr.Doom who took them away. But there is a possibility they are still alive. Tatia says while looking at the object. I looked at Brody who had a guilty face. "Well maybe we can help you find them. I was really close to Kai and Lena too , so can we? " I say walking towards Tatia when the guy from the counter rushed in the door. "Tatia some guy wants you at the front. It's him." Tatia turns every light off and pushes Brody and I out the door. "Tatia glad to see you again. Something's wrong with the connection at headquarters. We need you now."says a tall thin guy with red-hair.

"That's rubbish! All the equipment is fine and Chief checked the connection last week." Tatia says while cleaning the counter space. "Who are these guys?" the man asks with confusion. "They know about...them." Tatia says while making a gesture towards us. The red-haired guy looked up sharply into my eyes. "Who are your parents?"the guy asks. "Um Kai and Lena Parker." the red-head's breath was so bad I had to step away a little bit. "We need her. Where's the car?" "It's behind the shop but hold on I need to clean up, then we can go." Tatia says wiping down the counter and tables. "I'm Levi by the way. Pleased to meet you Twyla." Levi says while bowing. "How do you know my name. No need to bow." I look over at Tatia and watch her lock up the store and grab her car keys.

"Of course I know your name darling! Your parents were amazing friends of mine. They've told me all about you but never brought you to headquarters." After Levi finished his speech about my parents, I walk over to the table where Brody fell back to sleep and try to wake him. "Five more minutes mum." Brody says while trying to shoo me away. Finally Brody gets himself together and walks behind Tatia. "Where's the car?" I ask while looking around out back. "It's between the dumpster. Levi, take Twyla and Brody to the car. I forgot something in the café." Tatia says while looking at me. I know exactly what she was talking about, her invention. "All right so get in the car and I'll go check on Tatia." says Levi while shoving me and Brody into the car.

The car smells like old ginger snaps and metal. "I'm tired Twyla can we go to sleep now?" says Brody while taking off his backpack. "No we need to keep our eyes open just in case something happens." Five minutes later we both fall asleep. When I awoke, it was almost dawn. "Where are we?" I ask Levi and Tatia while rubbing my sleepy eyes. "We're almost there. Go back to sleep, everything's alright." Levi says while holding my hand. "Pay attention to the road Levi before you miss the enter. says Tatia while nudging him. I look at Brody and see his scar on his arm. 'Man I wonder what happened to him' I fall back to sleep and dream of my beautiful parents once more.
